3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? Little bits since we were babies. We eat orijen but mom wants to make us our own food.
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? Abby does'nt eat much and is very finicky!
5) What is your usual meal? Winston gets 3/4 cup of orijen 3x a day with yummy toppings like chicken. Abby gets 1 cup 2x a day with some homemade soup on hers.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? Abby hates apples and loves bananas. Winston will eat ANYTHING.
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? Right now just brewers yeast and a little garlic ( abby lost alot of her hair in the summer and this helped alot) moms looking for some more ideas though
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. kongs filled with frozen yogurt
9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food? moms knows about 3...she got a book and is halfway through it.

Partly because of all the recall scares and partly from hearing other Dogsters talking about it.

I get Innova small bites.

Hate to eat? I've never heard of such a thing. BOL! No known allergies.

Mom gives us Grizzly Salmon Oil on our food.

5) What is your usual meal? Hmm it vary but Purina lamb n rice kibble with whole wheat pasta veggies and some shredded chicken or beef is a big hit around here
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? Drake is a garbage disposal and will eat anything he would love for me to serve underwear for dinner. Mutts is a bit picky but luvs just about anything and is a lil iffy on chicken
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? Pets alive by gardens alive they also get a multi vitamin forget the brand tho
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. Moms home made peanut butter banana cookies or the Gerber sweet potato puffs for toddlers. I bought for my rats and found that drake is in love with the puffs he will do anything for them.

one and one half cups of dry Iams weight control with 1/2 can of Beneful for the flavor....BOL ...I get fed twice a day

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? I had some bad menu foods that damaged my liver & kidneys and I almost died.
5) What is your usual meal? Oatmeal, pumpkin, assorted veggies & fish or chicken. Science diet ZD as the protien source if we have too.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? The vet says we're allergic to beef, but mom thinks it might only be processed beef.

Charlotte does just fine on it, but I'm hoping Wilbur's itchy skin and lack of appetite will improve once I start feeding homecooked. We have been on raw and will someday go back to it, but for now, it isn't feasible. So we are hoping to learn as much as possible about homecooking! OK- TIME FOR THE SURVEY!!!!

Charlotte is 3.5 years old. Her bday is (guess) August 1, 2004. Wilbur is somewhere between 3-6 years old, we think. His gotcha day is 23, April 2007.
2) Where do you live?
We live in Washington state right now. But we're from Montana, and will be moving to Oklahoma or Colorado in the fall!
3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food?
We've only dabbled with it. We still eat kibble.
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food?
1- Wilbur's itchy skin. 2- Wilbur's lack of appetite. 3- Wanting to give Char the best possible food because she is so active.

one cup of California Natural in the am with a fish oil capsule, and 2 cups at night with one more capsule.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food?
Wilbur- not a big fan of kibble of any kind. I don't think he has food allergies- we eliminated both beef and chicken, then grains, and still he itches.
Charlotte- eats her kibble just fine. No allergies.
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones?
Salmon oil, Connectin joint supplement, and a spoonful of plain yogurt.
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not.
CHEESE. It's all about the cheese. Or smoked salmon that we get once in a while.

Maybe a 5. We researched last year but I'm afraid I've forgotten a lot of it.

well I was on a special prescription diet mom rescued me and they didn't think I would make it...(I was malnourished and starved almost to death)...after that mom tried weaning me into a raw diet...I was so sick...I loved it but my body was not ready for it...so mom started cooking my food she cooks the meat and grinds it up and mixes it with brown rice and she mixes in various veggies too with gravy...now she gives me a raw treat once and a while but I stick with the rice and meat with supplements diet and I have done well on it

mom bakes dog treats and sells them at Sadies Bakery...we get those as well as jerky that mom makes ...she dehydrates it wrapped in veggies like yams or carrots
