 | |  | | My real name is Petronius Arbiter, but who wants to be called that? Mom named me that because I'm orange, her favorite color, and Robert Heinlein wrote a book called "A Door Into Summer" that features a really swell cat with the same name, and that's her favorite book. Pete does all kinds of cool things, from time travel to fighting the bad guys, and mom thought that I was also a tough guy since I survived a bullet in the leg and all. Robert would have agreed. I think it's a respectable name. It's not a Harry Potter reference, we'd have to spell it differently, but mom thinks that would be cool, too, she sort of thinks me has her patronius, but my name has an older and deeper reference.
My foster name was Dorrito. Not a bad name since the vet had a cat staying who's name was Frito, but really, I'm much more complex. I answer to lots of names but mom especially likes to call me Poofy Tail (EMBARASSING) and Petie, which I think is pretty sweet. |  |  | |  |

My mom read the book too and really liked it. Princess Cilantro and I prefer The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss, my Uncle says I look just like him and mom reads it to us every night at bedtime.
I hope there are next kitties, but dad used a word that started with a "D" when mom brought up more than 4.... Silly dad.
