 |  |  |  | I have a training tip... If you have a puppy you plan to turn into an official therapy dog, it's a good idea to train them from the beginning not to lick people (or perhaps only on command.) Many therapy dog groups consider licking a BIG no-no for therapy dogs for sanitary reasons.
Also getting your dog used to all kinds of people and to medical equipment early is a good idea! Many dogs are scared of people who act strange or will become defensive, and many dogs are scared of strange things, which could include wheelchairs, walkers, etc... |  |  |  |  |
