October: Dr Doolittle was choosen because he shared with us his mommy's experince after his passing over the Rainbow Bridge.We like to see doggies open up and share cause..HEY...that's why this group was made..right? Dr Doolittle has been on dogster since July 21st, 2006. He has adorble pictures and a grrreat slideshow on his page!! Take a sniff at it! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ When's your birthday?: Mr. Doo's birthday is August 12th, 1987 When did your people get you?: I got him from a breeder, out of state, when he was 3 months old. (I had done alot of research on dogs - he was going to be my first pure-breed.) ( At that time of my life I was thinking about getting into showing dogs - just as kind of a hobby - that's why I wanted a pure-breed. ) I wanted a small dog - when I saw the photos and read about Papillons - well, I really thought they were the type of dog for me. (And I was right!) What was your personailty on earth?: Doo was kind of quite and shy - unless he sensed danger to his mom! One time a man approached me while we were walking down the street and Doo just started growling - this really BAD growl! Like the cartoons; with saliva just pouring out of his mouth; his fangs bared! Doo didn't run up to him or try to bite him, but stood in front of me and would not move. Needless to say, the man turned and walked away. That was the only stranger Doo ever acted that way towards. Tell us a funny story about you on earth: When we lived in Texas, there were Jack-rabbit colonies all over the place! Doolittle just loved to chase them! He'd dig in their holes looking for them. Stick he head down as far as he could in them and his eyes, ears, and nose would be full of dirt!. But he loved it! Well, one day he was chasing this one rabbit (mind you, the jack-rabbits were as big as him! Don't know if that was a Texas thing (lol) but they were!) This rabbit, however, kind of started figuring Doo out! (Doo loved the chase! But had never ever caught a rabbit!) Well, that rabbit started slowing down a bit - Doo started slowing down. Jack-rabbit slowed down more - so did Doo! Finally, that ole jack-rabbit came to a dead stop - and so did Doo. (Doo maintained the same distance from that rabbit after it stopped, as there had been when he was chasing it.) Doo kind of looked around a bit with this "hey - you're not suppose to stop!" "Now what do I do?!" look on his face. I was laughing so hard! I finally called Doo and he came running to me - and that jack-rabbit sat there and started munching on grass! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

	Hello hello hello!! Once again it's that time to annoce our winner of our 2nd Loving Friend of the Month. Make some noise....woo hoo!! Now....I'm proud to announce after days of hard thinking...we have choosen a female for our November winner.(It's fair) Drum roll please......... drum roll Ms. Serene!! Tell us a funny story about you on earth:I think the funniest story would be...No one knew quite how obsessed I was with Ball until the human nieces and nephews came to stay for a long weekend. I played from Friday night until Monday morning till they left...They kept throwin' so I kept runnin'! On Monday after everyone left, I made Mom feel sorry for me b/c I was soooo tired from running, that she lifted my butt up onto the people bed for me! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

	Hey Hey Hey!! What do you know...Santa Paws is coming to town!! Yahhh!! Also..it's that time again when we annoce who is the Loving Friend of the Month! drum roll pwease! drum roll And the winner is..... Rags "In Loving Memory"!!! The dog pound had approximated my age at 12 - 18 months. As for my personality - Mom says I was one of the best and smartest dogs they ever had, a good watch dog, excellent with humans of all ages and other furbabies, loving and very loyal. I learned new tricks very fast and was a tease and a clown. I loved to tease my Mom and Dad and human brothers. I would smile real big and wag my tail and then when asked if I was teasing them, I would bark once and wag and smile harder then do the trick they had requested of me. I loved everybody and everything! And when Snuggles was adopted I took her under my protection and loved and played and help train her, the same went for Misty and Skeezics when he was born. I was adopted on 3/10/85 from the AZ Human Society in Phoenix, AZ. According to them I was a stray with definite signs of abuse. As for funny stories about me. That question is going to be hard to answer-there are so many of them. I was a clown to say the least! I remember when Sherrie my human sister came to visit us. I would show off doing all my tricks. She really got a kick out of me showboating. But she complained to Dad that I never gave her any lovin. So Dad told me to give Sherrie some loves. Loves was me going over to a human and putting my cheek on theirs and rubbing cheeks together. I promptly went over and started loving Sherrie and she loved it and praised me so much that I just had to love her more and more and more. I even knocked her over and loved her more. She finally started to yell at Dad to HELP her-I was loving her to death! She and the rest of the family was laughing so hard of course it meant that I had to give more and more lovin. Finally Dad said that was enough so I stopped sat down and just smiled real BIG and wag my tail real fast and hard, and looked at everybody "You told me to give her loves!" . I was such a happy little guy. She still misses me so very much and I sure miss her and the rest of my family. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yahhh!! Rags!! Congrats again on your great work!! 	Hello everybody! The new year has started!! PAWTY!! PAWTY!! A whole new year full of fun and surprises! Also..it's that time again when we annoce who is the Loving Friend of the Month!!!drum roll And the winner is....to start us off for the new year is.... Ms. Paris -In Our Heart forever!!! December 4, 2003 What was your personality on earth? WOW! Where do I begin about my personality, hmmm?? Well, mom always said I was a wild girl. I always ran with my big Old English sister, Maggie. She would get frustrated with me though because I was usually under foot and she would trip  I would run and run as fast as a bullet along side her. I loved to have my hair messy, instead of fluffy and clean like mom preferred it Mom always likes to say I am a diva but I?m really more of a tom boy. Yeah, I had the wardrobe and the bling but most of the time I would refuse to move when they put clothes on me or I would roll around until I was all tangled up and then they would have to deal with taking it off me! Hehehe When did your people get you? Well, I was actually theirs from the time my doggie mom: http://www.dogster.com/pet_page.php?i=113416&j=t got pregnant. I was the last to come? late in the night. Mom and my girl were waiting and waiting for me! The only girl? They almost thought I wasn?t there, but I fooled them! Mom and my girl would come and get me and take me to visit granny before I was old enough to go with them for good. They finally took me home the middle of January. YEAH!!! I loved my home! Tell us a funny story about you on earth: Funny things would happen to me on a daily basis. My family was always laughing at me! When ever moms grand kids would walk in the door (Jett 5 and Keirston 10), the first thing they had to do was get down on the floor so I could make sure they were cleaned (if they didn?t come down to me, I would jump on them until they did). I would sniff and clean their ears (my! they were dirty) and the rest of their face until I felt they were ?clean?. Mom would call Jett my boy and we had a very special bond (we grew up together after all. You can see a picture of us on my page). Our favorite thing to do together was to dig in a dirt hill in the back yard. We would build tunnels and play cars. Boy, I could kick dirt faster than anyone! Mom would usually give me a tubby when we were done though. MAN!! What was her problem!? A little dirt never hurt anyone? My boy doesn?t go out and play much any more though and Maggie seems to stay in the yard now. They miss me a lot! OH!! One more funny thing: I have a crook in my tail. When my grandma took me to get my dew claws off (mom wouldn?t come), the vet said he could take care of that tail and cut it off so it would be straight. Mom and dad said, ?NO WAY?. Dad always said that even though Westies look a lot a like, in a crowd, they would always know me cause of my tail! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BOL!! Tell us a funny story about you on earth: One time, when my family and I were at a lake, I was playing in the fields where there was cute little prairie dogs. 	YO! How is everyone?? I'm sleeping....a lot! The Easter Bunny is COMING!!! I hope I get safe-dog chocolate!! Hee Hee! Also it's time to annouce who is our monthly winner!! Always bouncing around like a bunny or prancing like a pony. She had to proudest little look ever. My other chihuahua's , the sweet dogs they are let her be the leader. I think they knew she was sick. Also read this lovely paragrah about her that her mum sent to me with the info about Angel: Thank you very much, Angel was my dear little girl who i miss very much. I lost her one week ago today and i am now able to think past the week she was so sick and remember how happy she was with us the last 5 months of her life. I don't know if you believe things are supposed to happen for a reason but I truely do now. I know i was blessed to be able to care for her her last months on earth. Angel was a rescue that i got 5 months ago. She was given away at a garage sale to a girl i work with. She took her home because she felt Angel was not being well taken care of with the people giving her away. Angel was really nervous at her house because she has 3 kids. She knew i had 3 other chihuahua's and ask if i would take her. I remember picking her up from that girl and looking at her little frail old body, toenails that were so long she could not walk properly and covered with fleas, Even in the condition she was in and stress she had to be under she laid her head on my chest and gave me a kiss. The drive all the way home she layed beside me and wagged her tail looking at me. I got her home we cleaned her up and she fit right in our family. I took her to the vet and I knew she had a crooked neck, the vet mentioned the possibility it could be caused by a tumor or past head injury but not to worry about it unless we see other neurological signs. I truely did not think much about it and she lived a carefree , happy 5 months with us, the last week she started having grand mal seizures. We wanted to make sure it was not just Epilepsy before making any decisions. The vets were so helpful and i took her every day for iv fluids. They assured me she was not in any pain and sometimes the medicine takes awhile to get in their system. Despite medicine her signs of a tumor were getting worse. Her last day here she got up and walked, ate and tried to kiss me . She had not walked in 5 days. I stayed up with her day and night all week to keep her comfortable. Even putting syringes of water on her little tongue so it would not dry out. On her page you can see the video I shot of her hours before she took a turn for the worse and had to take her to the emergancy vet and do the right thing for our Angel. Sorry this is so long but i wanted to make sure you knew how special she was . I have had many pets before and love all of them dearly, but there was something very special about her. I feel like i lost my soul mate when i lost her because we had bonded so tightly. There wasn't a day that went by when she was with us that she did not get held 98% of the time and kissed 20 times a day. I feel like the 5 months we had her we gave her a new lease on life , a reason to live, because she had flourished so much even though she was sick.
