So first off, who else likes to go hiking? And second, where are your favorite places to hike?

Ok, well since I'm just a little pup still, Mommy and Daddy haven't taken me on any real hikes just yet, but they promise they will when I'm older.

Mommy says that her favorite places to hike (and her favorite places to go with her old dog Jessica), are Petite Jean, the base trail at Pinnacle, the Indian Rockhouse trail, and Pedestal Rock.

My human brother and sister go to Petit Jean, but I would have a hard time of it. I'm so little. I mostly walk in the back yard with mom and dad. We live on 10+ acres. I bet my whippet brother and sister could handle it though. Do you know of any dog parks in Arkansas?

Nope, sadly I've never heard of any dog parks, just dog resorts and stuff. A dog park would be really great though! Right now we just live in an apartment but Mommy and Daddy are hoping to find a house they can afford. I would love to have a big back yard to run and play in. At least I get to go play at Grandma and Grandpa's yard a lot! smile

Guess what! My Mommy found out that there is a dog park in Little Rock. Mommy's massage therapist told her about it, so next time Mommy talks to her again, she's gonna get directions and see about taking me there! big grin

My owners have hiked Devil's Den and thought the main trail was a lot of fun. As for dog parks I know of one in Rogers, AR. It is behind the humane society. We have gone to all of their events for the past two years. If you ever get a chance check out the Mardi Paws and the Howl-o-ween festival. I think they have a website called pawsforagoodcause.

Lake Fayetteville is an awesome place to hike. My mommy and daddy take me there once a week if it doesn't snow. It's a long enough trail for me, but not too steep! You should try it if you live in NW Arkansas!

There are actually a few dog parks, at least in the Central Arkansas area. There's one in Little Rock at Murray Park, one in North Little Rock in Burns Park, and also one in Jacksonville. The LR one normally has the most people and has a pretty big area right by the river, it even has a space for the smaller pups to play without fear of being trampled! Have fun!

All pups in NWA! We must unite and bark for our right to play! There is a group that is trying to get together some donations to start a Bentonville Bark Park. Please email my mommy for more info.
