Does anyone have a cat at their house? We have a Rusty-Bucket. He is orange and tiger striped and I don't like him! He never wants to be pounced on and is always hissing at me - what's his deal? Anyone else have one of these things?

Geez, I'm always goofing up - I just sent a message to Fischer about cats and I wanted it on the forum - we only have bunnies, they run past me, they don't care if I am sitting there or not - they want to get to their food. My mom feeds the birds, chipmunks, squirrels, deer, (if they come in the yard) and all that stuff, so there is alot of seeds around. Anyhow, the only cat I know comes over on my walk to check me out - nose to nose - some nights. Then she walks back across the street like she could care less. We're sorta friends, in a way Rocky

Hey Rocky I didn't know you lived with bunnies too! My best friend is a bunny and he's TOP "DOG" at our house. My mom comes second and then me and my dad are equal "pack mates". Thankfully we don't have cats (my mom is very allergic and cats are not usually good with bunnies.) I'm really scared of cats, whenever I see one on my walks, I try to go up and say hi but all they want to do is scratch my eyes out. My mom's friend has two kittens that like to attack my waggy tail and once they jumped up at my jowls and hung on which made me squeal really loud. I also jumped and hit my head under the table. Everyone (except my mom) just laughed, aren't they mean? So NO cats for me thankyou....

wow fellas! i didn't know cats could be so dangerous! i've never been too close to one, but i see them on our walks. i've only entertained the thought of trying to make friends, but now it looks like that'd be a bad idea! i mean- only I should be able to chase my tail, right? and something besides my collar hanging from my neck? no thanks!

Now, BIRDS, on the other hand- those NEED to be chased! BOL! and mom even lets go of the leash sometimes when i try to stalk them! She doesn't think i'll ever catch one, but one of these days..........

hey guys! I got real, real close to a cat yesterday! Do they aways make those wierd noises? Mom kept trying to give me warnings about watching out for him, said that those noises were him telling me to stay away, but he was such a cute little fur ball! How much harm could he have really caused? I think I'l try and get closer later when mom's not around.

Hey BooBoo - forget to look up here at the forums .....anyhow, the bunnies are in the backyard, they don't care if I am there at all - I might be invisable much as they care. They are hoping all over and running past me and just in a rush to get to their food in the morning. Mom said that cats are nice, we had one - he was very big about l8 pounds - we got him at the SPCA and he turned out to be something called a Maine Coon - which the girl at the vet knew. We didn't know for years but he had a big big bushy tail and pretty eyes that were a little slanted. He was a nice cat - before my time - but I've heard he was like a dog, he never hid when people came over or hissed or anything. Good old Whiskers, he got sick and mom had an operation on him but it wasen't good.

We have 3 meezers (siamese). Mom used to breed them. We also have a tabby and a sphynx(hairless). He looks like an alien. He belongs to mom's daughter who recently moved back home after she graduated college. It does not get along with the other cats. The meezers can be mean to the tabby. The cats are treated like royalty at our home. They are spoiled rotten. I guess Mandy and I are spoiled too!I like the tabby cat and tolerate the others. I like to eat the cat food and their poop! Mommy cleans their boxes frrequently so I don't get any anymore!

Kitty mommy aka Zephyr is ok for a cat. She allows me to chase her whenever I come in the house and she lets my tiny brother Ratty play cow tipping with her. This is how they play: kitty mommy is sitting straight up thinking about whatever weird stuff kittys think about all day and Ratty charges at her really fast (hey! he's a football player! - hes' fast!) and knocks her over - and she just plops over like a cow that's been tipped. funny! she doesn't get mad or anything - she just gets up and continues sitting and thinking about whatever weird stuff kittys think about all day.

Oh he invented another maneuver! the other night my mom was in bed reading and him (ratty) and kitty mommy were also on my mom's bed and my mom said real quiet "get kitty mommy!" and ratty looked up real fast and kitty mommy slowly got up and turned around to walk away (escape) and ratty ran between her back legs (it got a little tight for a minute) and he squeezed thru and tipped her over that way. It was an "inside, thru the legs, twist to the right tiltarama!" Kitty mommy was not amused - she twisted around and got him in a headlock and his little legs were all kicking - I know all this because I was the refereee from the side of the bed. I gotta bark the calls. - ratty has a tendency of cheating.
