	Annie, how cool. Mine wasn't a wintering experience. They showed up sporadically and never stayed very long. It was almost as if we were a midway or stop off point between shows. I never really asked. There were only a few handlers and some animals. I'm sure my dad did, but for me it was just a really neat thing to enjoy.

	Rascal, Here's a link to a cool circus animal retirement sanctuary. It's run by Kay Rosiere who used to work with Lions, Tigers and Bears-Oh my! http://bigcathabitat.org/ Their family also did the circus dog and horse shows. Fun people who hug and pet their animals just like we do! I'm a Realtor in Sarasota and several years ago, I tried to help Kay find acreage for her big cats and elephants. Then her circus truck broke down and it cost $50,000 to fix so it was several more years before she finally bought this site.
