Quinn, Starfire and Teo, I love hearing about your visits and about the "playing thing". I have had above my desk a card that says "You don't grow old until you stop playing"-on it is a picture of a big hairy red dog (like Zoya) and a medium size very furry black dog (like Annie) frolicking in the surf. I have had this picture for 4 yrs and never really "saw it" and its contrast of the two dogs until the other night. Plus today I was cleaning out my home office and found a mousepad with a picture of Zoya with a big red velvet Xmas bow around her neck-it was like getting a holiday card from beyond-ok, so tell me it was my imagination......

I do believe I have had contact with 2 of my babies who passed in November 2007. One particular night I was really missing them, and when I went to bed I felt them beside me! I sleep on my side , Bear always slept nera my stomach, Bambi near my back. I was really hot, but right where they used to lay I had goosebumps! I know it was my babies there to comfort me in my time of sorrow. Sometimes I think I see them out of the corner of my eye ( they were always underfoot) of course this could be imagination...but I don't think so!!!

Angel of Shavano

I've logged my mommy into my account so she can post this story. This happened just last night!

I lost my Angel in November, at only 13 weeks old(story on her diary), and it shattered my heart. I had just moved out on my own(with my fiancee), and shortly before I moved out of my dad's house, our beautiful family dog Shavano passed away(story on his diary). Then my mother in law got a little lab mix puppy(Shavano was a Chocolate Lab), and I thought that I might be ready for a puppy. I told myself that if the people she got her Sandy from had a brown female puppy, then it was meant to be, and if not, then I wasn't going to actively look. Well, I called, and sure enough, they had ONE brown girl, and when I went to see her, she was the first one to run up to me, and she looked at me, and I just KNEW she was meant for me! Sadly I lost her, and I was stricken with grief for quite a while. I recently decided to get a new puppy, when my mother in law's Dachshund had her pups, and I saw Hine, that was it. smile But just last night, while I was in a dark, quiet room(I've been getting migraines horribly lately), I felt a warm figure next to me. I couldn't see her, but somehow I knew it was Angel, she was curled up next to me, with her head resting on my stomach. She stayed there until my fiancee came home with medicine, then she was gone. It's haunted me all night!

cloud 9 I do have contact with my passed fur - Sissy's and Bubba's and a few others from mommie's passed and even others that mommie doesn't no** Me & Mommie visit our PET CEMETERY everyday (if the weather permits ) and Mommie sits and watches me play for about 20 minutes on and around the grave sites** As she sees it , it is AIR that I am playing with, But she no's it's something more** My reactions when we visit are the same every time we visit and by watching me interact tells her that I am able to connect with them** Mommie is a TRUE BELIVER and as she watches me visit and play she sits quitely and motionless with tears of LOVE & JOY streaming down her face, wishing she could see what I see** Afterwards when the play time is over, I run to mommie and licks her tears away** cloud 9

I loved reading about all of your experiences!!! My late dog JADE (RIP) passed this summer and I was a hot mess (Im doing much better now-most of the time). I know Ill never have another like her. Anyway, she knew how bad I was and began visiting me by leaving me her dog hair; in places where it would be noticed - freshly washed completely hair free sheets, on my shirt where a minute before it wasnt there, at other peoples houses, on the car seat, on vacation in a totally animal free house, etc. She also has visited me in my dreams several times - and it was during times when I was really bad and she knew I needed to see her. The "dreams" were not dreams as others of you may know and had special meaning, she came to me as a younger dog and as an older dog and always had a message. I also believe she sent me this guy, Jasper as at the time he was born it was a particularly bad time for me and he is the same zodiac sign as her and it was weird the way I got him, esp since hes a purebred rescue and the same breed as she was. The last dream I had of her, had him in it also (as well as my other dog) - and the message she sent me was that she was happy he was with me as in one part of the dream he ran away and she helped me find him and bring him back. She also told me in that same dream that now that shes an angel she can go with me where living dogs cant ( We all went to Jaspers puppy class together and none of the dogs were allowed in the room at first except the trainer allowed JADE to be in the room and did not allow any other dogs in the room, only the people). That dream took place after she died, meaning the other dreams she came to me in, I wasnt aware that she had already passed, in the dream. In that dream it was as if she were coming back to me, it was weird. There were other parts to that dream too - in the beginning she came to my window, scratched at it and was staring at me for me to let her in and when I went to the door to let her in we had a most ecstatic reunion!! The other visits she gave me were just as meaningful and I now look forward to going to sleep every night so I can be with her again - at least in some way.
