Does anyone have a really strange GSP here? Or is that a dumb question?

My dog Spike has many strange habits,

1) He won't chase his "pets" in the yard but will away from home. The squirrels,bunnies, and even cats are safe here at home but he chases them when he is away from home.

2) He steals the neighbor dog's toys! He doesn't really want them...he just loves to steal them.

3) Is it just a shorthair thing or do other dogs panic when you close the bathroom door? Other doors are fine,but not the bathroom! All my shorthairs seem to have this "problem"

4) I love to swim,don't mind baths, can run in the rain, but when it comes to going out for a leg lift I won't go out in the rain unless Mommy does.

Any other quirky GSPs out there?

oh my goodnee golly there are others like me! mommy has to hold an unbrella so i can potty in the rain. and the bathroom i always have to be there. i'm afraid that thing she sits on will eat her! i also love to lay on her feet when she gets her make-up on. my brother and i warm up the bath rugs for her while she showers. we stay on the rug when she tries to get out but we give her some room between us for her feet. i love to cuddle in the mornings before she gets up. i absolutely have to get under the covers! my nose gets so cold. i always have to lay by my brother or ontop of him. i just can't be away from anyone. i love the lovin. i also point while i'm pottying.

You're too funny Henry! I'm always worried Mommy will flush herself in the bathroom. Her old GSP Druid used to warm up the bathroom rugs too!

Maybe I'll start getting Mommy to use an umbrella for me too. Thanks for the advise!

I don't like to get wet either. My mommy and daddy push me from behind and tell me to go. So I try to go under the tree, so I don't get to wet. When my daddy takes a shower I have to lay right in front of the shower door. When I go outside I have to have the door open. I won't lay outside by myself. I have to have someone there with me. Yeah I am a weird GSP too.

My mom tells me I'm a weirdo too.

Just because I like to sleep all the way under the covers (even in summer), and because I snap my mouth like a dragon when I get bored.

I think we're just a unique and special breed.

yeah man, i love that game, unique up on things right. heehee. i love to be under covers in summer too. i get so cold when we camp and go for walks in the winter so i have a coat i wear and i'm much happier. mommy calls me her german nohaired pointer! i have hair though she just teases.

You guys are too funny. I'm just the opposite. When it gets hot I throw the blankets off the bed I have. I have a kennel box inside and I only go in when it gets cold!

oh man i'm grounded. mommy's mad at me for tearing up another cushion(see me at my finest on my site) she doesn't know what to do. dad was gone last night for work and i slept with mom to keep her company. i suppose she won't let me sleep on the bed any more if i'm naughty. i try to be good now. woof

yeah mom's a sucker for that one. hehee. she has to leave today to go see her sister. i'm gonna miss her. i gotta try to be very good for dad. he doesn't think i'm so cute all the time.
