Yeah, Jubal, I heard about your corn cob eating adventure. My mom has vowed to dispose of all corn cobs in an extra plastic bag and spray it with disinfectant to make it even more unappealing after what happened to you!!!

You mom has a good idea, Axel! Two people have told my mommy that their dogs eat corn cobs all the time and have never had trouble with them. The vet said I never would have passed the corn cob without surgery, which means I would have died. He also said that vets remove a lot of corn cob pieces from dogs' stomachs and intestines, where they have stuck. I think those dogs who have been eating them without problems have been extremely lucky so far.

However, I also know people who hold corn on the cob for their dogs to eat the corn off, then throw away the cob. Dogs love it! I saw a picture of two pugs eating off the same ear, side by side! It does taste awful good. The hoomans just have to be really careful we don't get hold of that cob!
