Hello! Welcome to NY Siberian Huskies, a group just for us Huskies who live in New York. Use this post to introduce yourself, let us know where your from, etc. Hopefully we can have meetups in the future!

My name is Taz, and I am a 10 year old Siberian Husky. I was born July 2nd 1996. The first 9 years of my life were rough, but my mom rescued me in September '06 and I am living my life to the fullest and I'm very happy. I lived in Manhatten for those 9 years, and now I am living it up on Long Island, in Nassau County. I'm very young for my age, and I still run around and play. I love meeting new dogs, especially other Huskies! I am a very friendly dog, tolerant and have never gotten into a fight with anyone. I have a great temperment and would love to meet other Huskies in the area.

And now, for my mom:

My name is Jackie and I am almost 20 years old. Right now for a living, I am doing pet sitting and I'm usually very busy with that. I have wanted a Siberian Husky since I was 8 years old, and Taz finally came into my life last year. He was really was a blessing. I love doing dog related activities with him, and usually take him everywhere I go. I would love to meet some Husky owners in the area and have Taz make some new Husky friends, because he just seems to get along with other Huskies the best.. the breed recognition is amazing! I'm looking forward to getting know everyone, and having Taz & I make some new friends!

My name is "Pat's Ol' Blue Eyes" though he calls me Blue. I'm almost
four and eagerly waiting for the return of the snow and cold. You can take this hot weather and put it in one of my daddy's poop bags that he carries when he walks me.

My daddy's name is Pat, he's almost 60 and retired. Use to work for
Animal Haven in Flushing which is a small animal shelter there and more recently worked for a local vetrinarian which is where he got
me. I was someone's Christmas present, but they didn't want me frown.

But Pat took me home and he and his domestic partner Tom have
raised me up real good and I'm the sweetest boy you'd ever want to meet.

Heeeyyy everybody!!! Since my mama cannot have another furfriend for me, I can get to know you guys. My name is Lobo and I am maybe 4 years old... I just don't remember my b-day, heheh. I love playing with my toys... my mama teases me, pretending she'll take them away and then I can get to be this bad guy, growling at her... I also love my runner... I live upstate NY, Newburgh, with my humans and I don't have this thing around my land that they call fence. So... I got to know my humans in the shelter, I just made a cute face, looking nice and fluffy and they took me home. After that day their lifes was never the same.
Hope to hear from you guys.... NY is ours!!!

HI!
My name is Kozy-Munson. I am a little over 2 and a half. My nickname is "Ms. Attitude", and that was given to me by the lady who sold me to my mommy. I live in Suffolk County, and I love it here!! I am originally from Blue Point. My real mom and dad still live there at a nice place called Snow Drift Kennels. I am a known troublemaker, a "bad girl" if you will. It's ok though. My mom still loves me. My Dad, on the other hand....I have 4 bi-ped brothers, and they are a hoot!I love to terrorize them!!
My mom, Annie, I love the most. She is my true mommy. That is unconditional love right there. Everyone else would have kicked me to the curb by now, but not her. She takes the good with the so very bad. I love her.
Sometimes we go to Gardiner Park in Bayshore NY. It is an "unofficial" dog park. We have a great time there. We walk all the way down to the end, and then mom lets me go swimming in the Bay. I have to keep my leash on though, because, I will swim all the way out to sea...(boy..I'll never do THAT again!!!)
Anyway, nice to see all of the NY sibes out there. You are all very handsome and pretty. Nice to meet you all

My name's Kaiser, I'm about 14-15 months. My mommy and daddy doesn't know my exact birthday because the previous owners never got my papers. My favorite toy is a squeaky burger. I love looking out the window to see what everyone else is doing. My mommy says I want to know everything; I can't help it..I'm a curious dog!!
Both my mommy and daddy is 23 years old. They spoil me rotten and I love it!

Awrooowww!! Hi everybody!! I'm Ruby and I've been stuck at home lately with no walkies and no hikin' and all those good fun things that I always used to do with my mommy, you know, like meeting my husky pals at the park every night and kissing and smooching up all those humans! BUT my mommy says that I can't do it until I get better, like in another couple of months because of something called 'surgery'..i mean, when did I ever asked for that?! I am supposed to be 're-ha-bi-la-ta-ting' something which seems to take forever!!! *bummers*
Think I can join you all for a fun day out when I get better?? (IMO, i AM better but my mommy dont think so..) You see, Sophie, my mommy has been naggin' at me lately!!! Just like the other day, all I wanted was to find that squirrel that zipped by but NOoo, she held me back and stopped me! ME! *sheesh* just because- TheVet- told my mommy I am not supposed to run, jump, or go up/down the stairs...*sighs* Who da heck is this VET anyway! ooh phoooey!

Hello everyone,
My name is Maggie and I live far upstate. (1hr from Syracuse) My house is in the area of ny where we get LOTS of "lake effect" snow all winter long. I absolutely love it. I live with my mom and dad and my siberian siblings... mollie, sadie, sophie, hannah, and harley. Mollie and I are 5, Sadie and Sophie are 3, and Hannah and Harley are babies at 13 weeks. They are getting on my nerves.... they have so much more energy than I do. Sometimes I want to sleep and they want to play. But we all get along well. Mollie and I are still trying to let them know that we are the boss, but they are persistent little buggers.

Nice to meet all of you. My mom thinks you are all beautiful. She loves siberian huskies. I'm her little princess, but don't tell my sisters and brother.

My name is Oz (Crazy Trains Wizard of Oz) and I live in West Seneca New York ( a suburb of Buffalo).
I am one handsome DEVIL at just a year and a half old. Kidding ! BOL
(Seriously though ..... is there a better looking breed ??!! )
I am my brothers dream dog. He had wanted a Husky ever since he was a small boy but couldn't because of asthma issues. Now that he has grown up some his asthma has lessened & is under control. Mom finally gave in and here I am !
What had *checked out* to be a good breeder turned out to be a back yard breeder with AKC status. Long story very short ( its on my page if you're interested ) my Mom busted butt and got this man shut down. His AKC status and his ability to hold a NYS license were both revolked.

Anyway, I am VERY happy to be here & cannot wait to get to know you all.

Hi there... my name is Sasha, but nobody ever calls me that. They call me Sash, Shanee, Shoe and Zoomie (and other silly made-up names!) depending on who's talking. I live in the Binghamton area of New York.

My FAVORITE things to do are take walkies, go for rides and visit grammy and grampy. I'm a pretty picky eater, but I like Beggin' Strips and Arby's sandwiches with just a teeny-tiny bit of butter drizzled on top. That's how mommy and daddy "jump start" me to eat! Once I taste butter, I eat everything in my bowl!

I used to have a brother Siber and sister Sabrina, but they were older than me and went to doggy Heaven. Now it's just me and the adults. They take me everywhere though, and if they leave me alone for just a few minutes, I go "Woo-Woo" and sing for them when they return. Since I'm an "only dog" now, it's nice meeting all of you!

We're kinda new to this site so bare with us :p

I'm Angel. living in upstate NY. I was born March 20, 2006. I have a shoe fedish. I only chew mommy's sandels but if you visit and your shoe disapeared it's because I like it smile Mommy found my hiding space. I have lots of energy and love to run with the kids. I really love the baby's toes. Tomarrow I have to go get my rabbie shot so mommy can take me to the doggy parks. I'm so excited to run free with other dogs. Seems like the kids arent up to wrestling with me, although I LOVE that 4 year old, when I go near him he rubs my belly, and boy is it like I'm in heaven :p. I'm really excited to meet other husky.
