	I'm a huge fan of Animal Rescue. I've taken in several abused dogs and loved them until they found new homes. I believe there's a special place in hell reserved for anyone who beats animals. (occasional corrections are one thing, but when the animal is terrified of everyone and shys away from a loving pet... you're roasting buddy.) Edited by author Wed Jul 12, '06 7:48am PST

	Sometimes it's just unbelievable what people do to us pets. My mommy reads everyone's arrival story and she says some of them make her very sad. She's not sure how 2-leggers could even imagine doing those things to another living creature... beating them, throwing them out of car windows. I just lick her hand and sit quietly at her feet and tell her it's okay and I thank her for saving me too. She knows something has really scared me in the past. I occasionally get terrified and she's not sure why, but she always makes me feel safe and loved.

	Boy, you don't even want to get my mom going on this topic. She is always saying that her dream job would be to become a judge who handled nothing but animal abuse cases! Dad sez he once saw her start yelling at some huge guy when she saw him hit his dog, and she took off across the street after him. She's little, but she's feisty!

	I read the story about Coffee and have only one comment. The punishment should be the same as the crime. If the person(s) responsible dragged Coffee around with a chain and beaten her with a baseball bat then I think that person(s) should receive the same treatment. Nothing more, nothing less.
