Hi Everyone, My brother Orca just welcomed you to reflections and I would like to introduce myself. My name is Domino and Orca never knew me. When my family adopted me they had no idea I had FIP and would only be with them for a couple months. My mom had to make the painful decision to send me to rainbow bridge and they still didn't know what was wrong with me until after I went. The only comfort mom took in finding out was that she knew she made the right decision so I wouldn't have any suffering. After she found out that a little kitten that was a caster friend of Orca's suddenly went to rainbow bridge, she got the idea for this group. She remembers the void that was left when I went and wanted to help others through that process. She felt maybe one way was to have a place that they can go to send messages to the ones they miss and have them be remembered. My brother Orca may pop in from time to time but I will be the main moderator for the group. So please join us and lets go chase some butterflies.

Hi Everyone. My name is Furie. My sister LuLu and the guy that came after me Diego are on Catster with me. Diego is actually all over the place.

I was my moms first cat as an adult person and adopted me from the Humane Society. They guessed me to be 2 years old. Mom took me to get me fixed but they found out I was already fixed so I had owners before my mom but don't remember them. I lived with mom for about 6 years before coming down with Diabetes and a mystery illness. I lived in Georgia and Oregon during my time. I passed away a couple of days before Christmas while mom was with her family in another state. My pet sitter/nurse took me to her house and I passed while her mother held me in her arms so I wasn't alone.

Now I watch over my sister LuLu because she is a scaredy cat and I watch that big boy who came after me, Diego. He is a mess but definately belongs with mom & LuLu. He is good to both of them.

Sorry for the long run on story. I look forward to getting to know you all and hearing your stories.

Meow, Everyone!

This is Dude. I'm pleased to meet you all! I left earth and arrived at Rainbow Bridge last Wednesday morning, July 4, 2006. I was 21 years old, and when Mama and Papa brought me to the vet for help in getting to the Bridge, I heard her say that 21 is a very long time for a cat to live. And, you know, when I think of all the feral cats whose lives are so hard, or the cats that were lost in Hurricane Katrina, I know that I was blessed. One thing all of us here have in common is that we were lucky enough to find forever homes and loving humans.

Domino, thanks so much for the invite to the group and for the rosette! You are one friendly cat. And Furie! I'm so happy to see you here, too! This is shaping up as a great group!!

Well, that's all for now.

Ciao,
Dude

my meowmy had a blue point that was 21 when he went to rainbow bridge. She should try to have some pictures made and put him on the site too. We all have a special place in her heart but I think that he is the only cat that has a place above Orca. The only reason I say that is no one else not even orca has large framed pictures of themselves hanging on the walls of the house. MOL

Hi everyone,

I'm Missy, and I went to the Rainbow Bridge when I was only 4 years old. I was accidentally poisoned by lilies in a bouquet that was delivered to my mommy and daddy on their 2nd wedding anniversary. They didn't know that lilies were so poisonous to kitties. They were devastated when they realized I was so sick.

Anyways, be aware that many plants - esp lilies - are poisonous to cats.

I'm really happy to be a part of this group.

My family didn't find out until I was two years old that my birth mother gave her kittens FeLV. We were tested when brought into my vet's office to be put down, but because we were only two weeks old, the test gave a false negative reading. Two of my sisters died very soon, my brother went with one of the tech, and I came home with mom.

That fateful day when the tech called mom telling her Humphry had just died and it was from FeLV. I went in to be tested, and, of course, I was positive. The vet explained how to keep me healthy (lots has been done since then). From that day, we never went anywhere without my Tetracycline.

I had a wonderful two years, but one day mom knew it was different. We sat together on the floor that last night. She petted me and cried, and said I was going to a better place. I howled in pain. The next morning, mom and dad took me to my very caring vet. We all told each other how much we loved each other. Mom held me when he gave me my shot. I put my head on mom's arm and came to the Bridge.

Hi Everybody!
I wanted to say thanks -- especially to Domino -- for inviting me to join this group. It sure took me long enough, didn't it? That's because ever since Dude arrived here at the Bridge, there has been a non-stop party with all his family and friends gathering to greet him. As his older brother, it's up to me to show him around, introduce him to everyone and just generally make him feel comfortable. Of course, that was my role on earth, too -- so it's just like old times. ;-) Thanks again.
Love,
Luce

I was Mommy's first cat. I was her Christmas present when she was a little girl. I stayed with her for 17 years. I've been at the Bridge for a LOOONG time, but for quite a while Carly's been here too. We didn't know each other before (I passed before she was born!) but we hang out now and are friends, even if she is a DOG. See, I was Mommy's first cat, and Carly was her first dog!
