 | | Barked: Sat Sep 29, '07 10:06am PST |  | |  | | 1. What makes you bark...literally? GRRRRR - when the squirrels run up and down the back fence and chirp at me & my family. That makes us ALL bark, and the dogs next door, too. Together we make LOTS of noise.
2. Which is worse get a bath or have nails clipped? Ugh, ugh ... nails, even though "mom" uses the Dremel. We all go outside when "mom" gets out the Dremel, but she always finds us. We get treats after, though!
3. Do you like your vet? Oh, yes ... Alan's a NICE guy. He gives treats, too!
4. Car ride or neighborhood walk? Hmmmm ... that's a tough one, since going on a car ride usually means we're going somewhere FUN. Can we have both????
5. Favorite place to nap or sleep? Anywhere is fine, but near "mom" is best. Well, except for "Maddie" who prefers under the blankets in her crate. Go figure ...
6. Do you sleep on your back? Nope ... we've all got loonnnnng legs, so it wouldn't quite work for us. We prefer the "fetal position," except for Cruiser who prefers blocking the hallway & the dining room.
7. Who named you and why'd they name you that? Aten is short for my birthname, which is Marchwind's Akhenaten D'ankhu. Ciano is named for some historic Italian guy "mom" read about in college. Maddie came with that name from her rescue home, and it's cute just like Maddie, so we kept it. And Cruiser was named by GDB (He was in a "C" litter!), so he got to keep it even though he isn't a working guide anymore.
8. Your favorite human food/snack/treat? Anything we can sneak from "mom" or "dad." We're not allowed, but "dad" sometimes doesn't watch as closely as "mom."
9. Front seat, back seat, kennel or car seat? Back seat always, usually in the kennel, just to be safe.
10. Things you get scolded for? Jumping unexpectedly on "mom;" barking at the neighbor's dog 'cos they complained (of course, HE barks, TOO, but somehow it's all OUR fault) ... that's about it, except when Ciano & I get loose in the house and mark OUR territory. "Mom" doesn't seem to appreciate that "little" IG habit, so we wear belly bands when we're likely to be near anything soft/nice we sometimes like to mark.
11. Have you ever met anyone from Dogster? Cruiser, has, but he met them before we knew about Dogster.
12. What is one of the best days in your life? Saturdays and Sundays when "mom" is home. Any day when "dad" goes outside and throws the ball/frisbee/whatever. Playdates that happen in our backyard (like this Sunday ... friends are coming, friends are coming!)
13. The worst? Going to the vet to have our teeth deep-cleaned. Ugh, ugh ...
14. Do you brush your teeth? If so, how often? Oh, yeah ... "dad" does it every day because me (Aten) and Maddie have bad teeth and gums, Ciano doesn't but we don't want him to, either, and Cruiser ... gosh, his teeth are like granite boulders ... likes the taste of the toothpaste!
15. Tell us something you do on a regular basis that we don't know about. Maybe a habit or something silly. Hmmmm, well ... Maddie makes little bird-like chirpy noises and scoots along with her front legs straight out when she wants attention - makes everyone LAUGH. Ciano likes to play catch with the frisbe, which is odd for an IG - he could play catch all day, or until your arm wears out. Cruiser is just a funny dog ... way too smart, almost human in intelligence ... he TRIES to make you laugh, and then bounces about like a puppy when he succeeds. I, however, (that's me, Aten) don't do anything funny at all ... I'm just a happy, pretty boy who wants to be loved all the time.  |  |  | |  |
