POLL: Which ADULT dog food do you prefer? Why?

HELP!
PLEASE LIST YOUR PREFFERED BRAND OF **ADULT** DOG FOOD.

ALSO, HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED FOOD ALLERGIES WITH YOUR DOG?
(WHAT DID YOU DO ABOUT IT?)

My BAM-BAM will no longer be a puppy in 2 months. I need to start looking for an ADULT dog food for him, one that WON'T cause him to have allergies.

He is on Nutro Ultra Puppy food now, but I am NOT pleased with some of the ingredients in it...

thats a good ? our last two dogs ate anything that didnt eat them first. now I have two finicky eaters. Im really careful about ingredients now because we lost our last baby, also a tzu, after a yr long battle with cancer. have researched all kinds of things, but alot about nutrtion. right now my girls eat natural balance...they have two allergy formulas venison and brown rice & also duck and potato. stay away from soy, wheat, corn...known to be an allergy in lots of dogs, look for human grade meats etc so no gross "renderings" and icky crud off plant floors, lots of toxic things make it in to commercial dog food. its scary and soooo sad. just look up stuff on the internet; your best resource. I dont even like the ingredients of the food my vet recommended. (I later told her)
I got really concerned when I saw how much more cancer in dogs today and after losing the love of my life furbaby two yrs ago, have been researching all sorts of things since and a big thing is nutrtion & how important is is. Now if I could just get my girls to be more excited about mealtime!
this site is a gr8 resource...espec ask mommies of your same breed, but do the research...I couldnt believe anything more strongly than quality nutrtion matters!

Mom feeds us Iams. weight control. I adore eating, and often help myself to whatever I can reach, so we get fed the weight control version so I can keep my girlish figure. Reilly doesn't eat a whole lot, but the Iams seems fine to him also.

My mom feeds me Canidae, which is an all life stages dog food. My sister Kate started eating Canidae when she was eight and she lived to be all most sixteen years old.
My mom likes it because they use human grade food and she says it is well balanced. I also get Canidae snap biscuits. Off course good old dad feeds me stuff I shouldn't have, I think mom knows.

My mom feeds me Beneful Healthly Weight. She calls is Beneful Fat Dog!! She gives it to me cuz I get alot of treats ans she doesn't want me to get fat. She says its not healthy. But I sure do love to eat!!

Our Mom and Dad feed us canidae, we all do wonderful on it!! We had a brother Dylan that died two and a half years ago, he had cancer. Mommy was so devastated she did alot of research months and months of it. Mom found out foods like science diet, iams, eukanuuba, had cancer causing agents in them, small amounts but they build up in our bodies. Mommy only uses top of the line kibble for us and bottled water, ( mom and dad don't drink the water outta the faucet either) Thats just what we do, you can go to the whole dog journal for more infor on food, there are alot of five and six star foods out there!!

I prefer Nutro Ultra adult food because it has salmon in it, which is great for my skin. Plus, it tastes great.

I use Purina. I have used it for all of my dogs, but I have never really considered other types...maybe I will try Canidae.

we eat Canidae. I am a very pickie eater. my sister Sassy Girl won't eat anything until she sees me eating it. guess she thinks if I eat it, it is ok for her to eat. Mom tried Life Abundance but I didn't like it. we tried Innov I wouldn't I smelled it and walked off. I really like Canidae. plus mom makes us meals during the week too. she has alot of different recipes.
Just because your turn 1 doesn't mean you need to come off your puppy food. our vet had me stay on puppy food until I was 18 months old and then started mixing puppy with adult for a few months.

I eat Natural Balance Duck and Potato because I have a sensitive tummy and allergies. My mommy won't feed me anything else, especially Iams/Eukanuba because they test on animals. BAD HUMANS!!! I occasionally eat cat poop, but I don't recommend it 'cause you get sent to the corner. =(
