 | | | | I agree with the quality vs quantity thing. You want to feed a higher quality (which is generally going to be more expensive) for a couple reasons: 1 - better quality has the nutrients and things in it that a dog needs and not just a bunch of fillers but it supposedly will make your dog feel fuller and not need as much food. I myself always acted if I was hungry cause if its food I am going to eat it. 2 - A dal has unique dietary needs so a higher quality food is going meet some of those needs. You should research the different foods though and do research on what a dal diet should consist of. My momma just googles dalmatian diets or something like that. I used to weigh about 75lbs before I got sick and my doctor put me on a diet to lose weight, my weght finally got down to 50-55lbs which was the perfect weight for me. I had a very nice waistline which my doctor was very pleased with. Then my momma did a bunch of research on dog food and found one called Blue Buffalo, it was yummy and it works with a dals dietary needs. There are some others out there she found called Wellness and Merrick that had the ingredients or didn't have the bad ingredients. Anyway, sorry this is a long post but hope it helped. Pmail me if you have any other questions.
P.S. I lived to a couple months shy of my 15th birthday and probably would have hung on longer but momma felt that I didn't have quality of life anymore cause I couldn't get around, so she let me come to Rainbow Bridge where I could be happy and healthy and pain free again. I love my momma and I know she loves me. | | | | |
