Mom started scarf #5. Mom is going to knit my buddy Rambo a hat to keep his ears warm, Canadian winters are tough. then Mom wants to knit an afgan for Dad, because he likes to nap on the sofa with me. she wants an afgan that will look nice with our furniture.
Mom knitted me a squeaky toy with butcher thread, then yarn. I chewed through it all, and got the whhistle out of the squeaker within an hour. Mom bought 25 squeaker to make toys with.

Mums knitting me another sweater. It will be blue with a picture of a little penguin wearing a scarf on it. She is going to sew some bling on it so it looks like it is snowing around the penguin. She has to hurry up and finish it because I would like her to design and knit me a special Valentines sweater too!

I started to make a hat for Rambo (boxer), but I'm putting that aside for now. I'm knitting a snuggle for Iris. it is 66 stitches wide, I'm using 2 strands of contrasting yarn. at this point it is 6 inches long, but should be 3-4 feet when complete. my future snuggles will be donated to the local animal shelter.

Elliot, your mom shouldn't worry! My mom only made scarfs - up till now. She's almost finished the 'Turtleneck Dog Sweater,' a free pattern from www.lionbrand.com. It's rated "easy" and so far it has been - mostly.laugh out loud

Mom has the Stitch 'n Bitch book, and that's pretty much how she learned to knit. Even with the 'easy' pattern, there have been a few rough patches, but we were able to figure them out. We've got the body made and are thinking about the 'legs.' We can't decide if they should be made with straight needles or double pointed ones to eliminate having to sew up the sides... (If anyone has any advise, feel free!)

We don't have any DPNs, so that may be the deciding factor. We were making this as a test sweater for one to donate to an auction. This one has turned out so well, we may be able to donate two!

I'm working on Francie's Valentine sweater using red Paton's Classic Merino wool. I'm going to embellish it with little pink hearts and pink organdy ribbon.

Yet another scraf BOL Yes I know by know it is getting silly, but this one is a request from a friend. I have mastered soem more fancy ones by now, and I plan to move on to the next stage (which will be a hat) once that one is done. My ultimate goal: A dog sweater. I will put that adress to my favourites so I can check back once I get there.

I completed Iris's snuggle which is 4 feet long, almost an afghan. I have also made 2 square snuggles with the same yarn, 2 round snuggles, and a kitty pi. I will make one more square snuggle, then I think I'll attempt to make a sweater for my nephew. he asked me to because he likes the colour combination of the snuggles.
