Chihuahuas usually reach full maturity at 9 to 12 months of age, though some mature even sooner. I have found several tools to help in determining a Chihuahua’s weight at maturity. These tools, as you know, will not give you the actual weight your Chi will reach at maturity because many factors can contribute to a Chihuahua’s weight and size such as genetics, his diet, etc. The tools will, however, give you a good estimate that you can use as a base weight. The first is to double your puppy’s weight at 3 or 4 months of age. I can’t remember whether it’s 3 months or 4 months, but I’m pretty sure it’s 3 months. The second tool you can use is the one a lot of Chihuahua breeders use to help in determining a Chi puppy’s size. It’s called the. Chihuahua Weight Chart. I hope this helps. |  |  |  |  |
