 | | | | The daycare sounds awesome !!! My mom is going to try to work from home, 'cause there was a terrible accident on her 1st day at work with her last job. Mom raised me and my boyfriend/like brother, Django I, from the time Django was 3 weeks old and I was about 2 months old. Django was my mom's "baby boy", and I was more of a dog's dog, and latched on to Django. Humans ? Who needs them? Anyway, Dad (Mom's irresponsible boyfriend), was supposed to come home after work ASAP to take us out to potty. Mom told him the 1st day at the new job would be long & asked him to come home 4 us ASAP, since we were used to regular walks. I think Dad went to the pub 4 a few drinks with the guys, 'cause it was a Friday. As soon as he and his buddy walked in the front door, Django & I ran for it ! We were REALLY good dogs, and held it in all day long, (7am-5pm) ! A record, I'm sure. Dad had never gotten used to our wily husky ways and failed to trick us back into the house or truck, or to catch us. Well, we went on the walk that we were used to taking with Mom at night. Across the busy road at rush hour to get to our beach. I think we ran down the beach a bit, ( we lost Dad from the door on), back across toward home; when Django heard Dad calling for him way over at the beach. I remember screeching tires and a thud. The kids in the neighborhood said we were running together until that happened. They told my Mom that after I witnessed my best friend get hit by that truck; that I got so scared, I ran home as fast as I could ! Mom finally got the call. She left her cell phone thingy in the car that day of all days. She came home as soon as she heard. The people at the new job understood since it was a pet resort and grooming parlor. We wanted to go to work with Mommy at the new job, but they were so busy and didn't have room 4 any more dogs : ( So, Mommy & I both cried over Django's lifeless body all night. Django liked to smell the flowers alot, sissy boy-flower child. So, Mom put flowers all over him as she wrapped him up with a few of his favorite toys in her sleeping bag to take him to be cremated, (whatever that means). If only we had been at a doggie daycare that day ! I guess I lucked-out that day. I was the swiftest, after all. Django was always a little clumsy like our mom. I miss my sweet, flower-child brother/boyfriend like crazy. I haven't been quite the same since that awful day 2 years ago. Neither has our mom. When my next heat rolled around, Mom took me back to KY to meet and breed with Django's daddy. He is a big handsome white Husky. We had a blast and got 4 puppies out of it ! Mom sold 2 and kept 2. Seven months later one of my sons returned, because the man that bought him could not care 4 him properly. So now we are a family of 4 Huskies, 2 cats, and our 2 humans ; ) Mom named one of my boys after Django. I do get along with him best. Mom is afraid of what might happen if she takes a job away from the den. So am I, but don't tell my dad! Mom tells me that I tend to ramble on..........Sorry guys ! Oh yeah, it probably won't be read anyway, since no one seems to post in this group. Woof-woof-ha-ha ; ) Guess we're changin' that ! Peace&Love, Luna Mischka : ) Edited by author Thu Apr 27, '06 2:02am PST
