|I will set the stage so you can fully understand the situation. Boo is a six month male boxer, Layla is a two year female boxer. Layla didn't have any aggression issues until Boo came around, and she only reacts when she sees a big dog while we are on a walk.
Boo however, has shown signs of aggressions from the start. With hard work though, most of these are gone, he can get his nails clipped, ears clean, play with layla, be picked up, and pretty much anything without showing signs of aggression like he used too.
When Boo sees a new dog he growls, hocks up, and wants to attack, if he is on lead, he turns that aggression on Layla, and attacks her. If we are say in a house or something with that dog, it won't be a full out dog fight or anything, but he definitely wants to attack instead of playing or just relaxing. Layla is fine once she meets the other dog, she is all wiggles and wants to be best friends, but not Boo, his guard is never down and is always ready to bite.
I want Boo to be social with other dogs and I don't want to worry about him attacking. I can keep him away from other dogs to control the situation, but I was wondering if anyone knew how I can desensitize them from dogs while we are walking.
We live in a small town, our kennel club burned down, so Boo couldn't take puppy classes, and they won't let aggressive dogs in anyway.
Oh and they are fine with my parents two labs.
