Border Collie

Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
ID: ANNIE

Notes: To all dog lovers, people lovers and just plain nice folks: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE !!! We desperately need to raise a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money to help pay Annie's vet bill! Annie is a beautiful, happy Border Collie who came into rescue four years ago. Recently while Annie's owner was at work someone came to her home and let Annie out of the house unsupervised. While in her yard Annie was attacked, she got away but was hiding and was not found until some hours later whereupon Annie was rushed to the emergency room and into surgery. Even from the first night Annie was fighting to stay alive, trying to lift her head and wag her tail at the site of her person. She still is fighting and even as badly as she's injured lights up whenever her person and friends are allowed to visit. The cost the doctors gave Annies owners for treatment has ended up being substantially understated and her person has used up all the avenues they have to pay for her surgeries and treatment. To help you get to know Annie and her person so that you understand how special and deserving they are here is a little bit more about them: When Annie came into rescue four years ago she was nursing an injury that had been ignored and gotten so bad that she had to have her leg amputated. The person who adopted her did not flinch at that expense and Annie is a wonder, as agile and fast as her four-legged counter-parts. Annie always has a smile and tail wag for everyone she meets and is game for any activity. After adopting Annie her owner has gone on to support rescue in many ways, including fostering almost 50 needy Border Collies, cross breeds and puppies, with Annie being a playmate and mentor to many of them. These are truely an amazing pair who have given much to the rescue community and have enhanced our lives in so many positive ways. If you have it in your heart to help this deserving pair there are many ways to do so, such as: You may send in a personal (non 501c3) donation to: PAYPAL https://www.paypal.com/ "ANNIES FUND" at sassymi2@aol.com Check/Money Order Sally Tibbits c/o ANNIES FUND PO Box 537 Granite Falls, WA 98252 OR you can send donations directly to the emergency clinic at The Animal Emergency Clinic ATTN: ANNIES FUND 5608 S Durango St. Tacoma, Wa 98409 PLEASE NOTE: If you do send a donation directly to the Emergency Clinic please let us know so that we can make sure they credit the account appropriately. ALSO, among other avenues to help raise funds for this wonderful animal and her very deserving owner (begging, pleading, threatening!), we will either hold a garage sale/silent auction/potluck/rescue reunion, or if that is not feasible we will sell anything and everything of value that we can get on E-Bay to raise money for Annie. Collecting sale/auction items is phase one of "Mission Annie". We know that everyone has something (lots of stuff) in their closets, garden sheds, barns, in-laws homes, etc., that can be sold. New or gently used - chic or shabby, it will all add up. Please scavenge around for those items you may have and are willing to donate to this cause. How 'bout all those "unique" Christmas and birthday gifts that you were saving to re-gift? Maybe your place of business has something they can donate. Maybe you have artistic talents and can create something? Perhaps you have a service we can auction off? Dog classes? Massage? Plumbing skills? Carpentry? Gourmet catered meal? (if we end up selling on e-bay, of course these items will not be applicable). We will have several locations for collection - Roy, Port Orchard, Clearview, Granite Falls, Camano Island, Edmonds, Brier, Seattle. And of course, if you don't have any item or service to donate, cash is always greatly appreciated? Can you donate one month's worth of latte money? Or the cost of one dinner out? Can you hold a garage sale and donate the proceeds? Can you take up a collection and get ten of your friends to chip in $10.00 each? If you can help in ANY way, please contact Sally Tibbits at stockdogs@comcast.net or Eileen Gillette at ravensgate@foxinternet.net Annie, the rescue community and all the dogs her owner has helped to save thank you in advance for your generosity and caring thoughts
