For an Akita bathing is rarely done because bathing more than a few times a year can cause skin breaks and damage that lead to secondary infection. The best thing if the smell bothers you,and just a note,a healthy Akita doesn't really have a smell, you can get a good groomers cologne and brush her daily. If her food contains soy, wheat,or corn please find another food. All of these are know allergens for Akitas and can also cause them to have a bad smell. Good Luck!
