Sweet Quincy will be heading to the bridge today....

It is with a heavy heart that I must report darling boy Quincy will be helped to the bridge today after a brave badly with cancer. He will be missed so much & his family loves him so very much. Such a young boy too, only 6 years old! The family also just lost two other beloved pets: their other golden Cosmo in 2009, and their cat Mercy just this past July.cry

We are deeply saddened.

Quincy has been brave and loving. Never once has he let this battle stop him from loving life. We'll miss hearing him recount his latest tennis ball find, or hearing about how he had rolled in the freshly cut grass.

We'll miss his sweet smile.

We love you Quincy.

I'm only 6 1/2 years old, and my mom was shocked to hear I have mast cell cancer. However, I'm doing well after surgery and hoping to live a long life. My sister, however, would love to play with you, Quincy - look for a white shepherd mix who is running free after having to be on a leash for years and years (part husky). She was ten or eleven when she went to the bridge this past September - died of cancer, too. It's so awful, and on the rise in dogs.

I'm very, very sorry about sweet Quincy!
