 | | | | Hi pups, not sure which forum to post this in. Didn't seem appropriate for a new pup to be in the Memorials/Goodbuys forums but didn't seem to fit in the New to Dogster forum either.
I first found Dogster in April 2008. My 12 year old Chow/Aussie mix had passed on 4.13.2008. We wanted to make some dog friendly changes to our home before getting a new pup and I felt such a void with no dog in our family. So to fill that void I started reading all I could about dogs. I went to the local library and came to the internet and found Dogster.
I'll admit I was a lurker on the Dogster Memorials/We Miss You etc. forums for several months. I just did not have the heart to add Jamaica as a Dogster dog. I was just too sad to start a page for her in death.
Anyway, I am now humbly posting a big THANK YOU to all the folks who were brave enough to post their own stories during that difficult time. Sometimes I saw the words I was thinking and couldn't have expressed the thoughts better myself. And I want to let all the folks who were kind enough to respond how comforting you are and you don't know how many other people than just the OP you are actually helping out. I am sorry I did not post my thanks closer in time so I can name those folks individually. But I think all the folks who consistently respond to those forums are heroes and so I will just thank you all!
We now have beautiful, fun and smart Pepper in our lives! She has kept me pretty busy for the last year and so there hasn't been much time for posting on Dogster (although still been lurking at the Behavior forum for those training tips). Anyway, she will be posting on the New to Dogster forum soon. But before going there wanted to thank all those folks who helped us learn about the Rainbow Bridge and say good buy to our beloved Jamaica. | | | | |
