snoopy Thank you for all the wishes and happy to say Rob is home without the plate amd screws - will be about 3 months to fill in the holes and become strong again. cloud 9 He is relieved that he can already tell the pain of it will be gone, after the surgery pain.

Tom's brother, Fran, is back in hospital with complications.

Hoping that those who are traveling are safe this holiday weekend. We are having a turkey breast in the kitchen and hoping that all have a nice day.

Dixie, poop-watch is a very important thing! So glad to hear you have an appetite and are eating. way to go Luv u sweet girl!

Maiyah, you and mom are so precious together! Can't wait for all the cute puppy stories.

Flicka, I know being outside is very therapeutic for you. I am looking forward to what the cardio has to say. My regular doc said the chest pains are angina and to take a nitro. The cardio may want to do further tests...don't know. All the tests I took in the hospital came back good. I didn't have an angiogram, though.

SargeMom, how relieved Rob must be to get those things out of his leg. Jim has rod & screws in his leg when he broke it a few years ago. They never bothered him and I can see a bump where a screw is. I don't think I could stand it. Doesn't bother him, though. So sorry to hear Fran is having complications. hug Please keep us posted.

well, this isn't a good morning for eating. Dixie ate a handful of the bacon treats, but turned her nose up at the stew she ate yesterday.

hope things go better tonight.

The Mom is working Thanksgiving. She and the Dad might go to Boston Market for an easy dinner. Definitely don't need any more stress around here. The Dad has been having a lot of stomach upset. He thinks it's nerves.

Everyone have a blessed day!

crazy day here, too much going on -

Rob's leg had formed a large pad of flesh or fat deposit showing on the outside of his leg and was hindering how he could walk, as it was pushing his foot downward and he would trip - he has a screw sticking out on the side, too. He said the pain plus that impeding of his walking is what made him want it removed and the doctor agreed as it was a hindrance. Also the bone on either side of the plate can be weaker, and now that the fracture has healed, there is no need for it. I guess the one in his pelvis with several screws doesn't bother him.

Fran evidentally has an obstruction in the bowel, did CAT and other tests -

Tom went to fix his mother's stove and nothing is wrong with it, he showed her how the water simmers on both large burners equally and working fine and she gets upset, and he explained to her but she won't accept it.

So he and Ann have talked as she gets herself into a state over things and they don't know how she will be when she hears of Fran - they didn't tell her yet until they know more.

Did your son sell his house, Anniemom? How are the kids enjoying Las Vegas.
We have great weather here now, but due for a change.

Such sweet picture of Maiyah and Annamom - so dear, and glad they have her.

Flickamom agree that the work outside is very helpful, I loved the gym for that too - just to get my endorphines reved up and do something healthy.

What are everyone's Thanksgiving plans. I guess just the 3 of us this year and a kitchen table dinner. Remembering Flicka had a lovely dinner table last year. Anniemom, are you cooking?

Scooter, glad to see you and also concerned for Dixie who is not eating, a/c to what I read, the same thing that she enjoyed just last night. Poor little thing.

S&S Mom, how is sweet Sully? Know that it takes time to accept, and so hard.

Wonderful to see DarlaMae, that lifted my heart.

big hug to all

Evening All.......

Maiyah... its ok Sweetie.. run Daddy around the house for a couple of hours................ !!

AbbySargeMum.. that is wonderful news about Rob !! The pins and plates did their job.. but now he can heal without the complications they also bring. The metal removal also stimulated the healthy bone cell growth so with luck he will heal and be stronger.

So sorry about Fran.. wishing him healing and ease too. Hoping they can gently ease the blockage.

Yes.. I understand the gym and how it helps you.... for me outside is a place I can switch my thoughts off a little....

AnnieMum... I was surprised they are now talking Angina ?? Would have thought the Cardio would have been and tested for all that ? See what the cardio specialist says...

Dixie..... BIG HUGSSSSSSSSS .....its going to be pick and mix to eat Sweetie. Mum and Dad.... do the easy and comfortable thing. HUGSSS

wavesssssss to Scootsssss

Thanksgiving Dinner..... well......... I made my Mum's stuffing last night.. we do have a small turkey crown and a turkey thigh(we both like the brown meat. ) As you know Jay isnt much of a celebrator... he honestly couldnt care if I lay it all up plain or fancy. We will have a nice meal.. and I probably will end up laying things up special.... but.... welll... maybe !

We are thankful.. but not in an "American holiday set date way" if that makes sense. Its also not a European holiday/festival....

We are thankful for many things... but I tend... and so does Jay.... to believe its a 24/7 thing.. not just one day a year.

Same tends to go for Christmas (a Christian festival) and birthdays... he was never allowed to celebrate any special day as a child.. so has no tradition of them.

Yes.. we are Thankful....but maybe just in a slightly different way.... if that makes a bit more sense...

Try Missy M on a tiny piece of carrot too ! Cleo would walk across the ceiling for carrots and strawberries !!... Lucas will eat most fruit and veg (small treat form )... Flicka doesnt like any fruit/veg !

FlickaMom, I think it does all of us good to get outside. The cardio said that any chest pain is to be watched carefully. He said if I was at rest and got chest pain to take the nitro. Chest pain during exercise isn't a good thing. My pains have all been at rest. BP looks good. He increased my Lipitor and wants me to come back in one month. Might want to do an angiogram after that. All the tests from hospital look good but he said the nuclear stress test is only 90% accurate and angiogram would show full picture or what's going on.

Dixie, daddy's upset stomach is from stress. I get that, too. Maybe you would like some of the Boston Market. Hugs & kisses to you, sweet girl!

Hi Scoots!

S&SMom, thoughts are with you!

SargeMom, I bet it was a relief to get those things out of Rob's leg. Sorry to hear about Fran. Yes, son sold his house in Ft. Worth. He is there now filling up the u-haul with stuff they want to keep and will make the long journey back to Las Vegas. DIL will come in a couple of weeks and have an estate sale for the stuff they didn't want to move. Closing is on Dec. 20th. They love it in Las Vegas. Jim, me & other son are going out to Kelly's Country Kitchen for Thanksgiving. I'm not good at turkey!

Maiyah, love hearing from you cutie pie!

Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow and smooches for each and every one!
