Hi all ~ wave

Hoping DarlaMae, Abby & Annie are all feeling better today!

That really will be something so special when Garrett gets to go to the VA hospital & see his breeder's husband...is he improving at all yet?

Ray was feeling a whole lot better today, hardly any pain he said and he's hoping to go home tomorrow. We hope, for both his and Cindy's sake that he will not be released until they're absolutely certain they have it under control (but Ray's chomping at the bit to go). Don't know Ray's exact age, but late 50's is a guesstimate, Annie Mom.

One of Mom & Dad's best friends was in the hospital for about 10 days due to complications of COPD (and he has MS as well). He was rushed to the ER when he collapsed in his driveway and couldn't breathe. Now he's in a Physical Therapy Rehab facility in Atlanta and could be there for up to 3 weeks. Mom talks to him on the phone every day and he's definitely not a happy camper (thinks his wife is responsible for putting him in rehab and doesn't want him home...not true at all as she simply cannot do for him what they are doing in rehab). Mom has been friends with him since we were teenagers and introduced him to his wife of 37 years. She said he was a little less grouchy today, but they think he may have suffered some cognition problems due to the lack of oxygen to his brain before they got him to the ER. He turns 69 in July and hates aging...Mom has to keep reminding him that she's older (by a few months) and we're all headed in the same direction!

Well, Mom finally got the results of her CT scan (Daddy got our doctor to find them today while he was there). As expected, absolutely nothing showed up, which is a huge disappointment to Mom as she's really tired of hearing "everything looks just fine" when it surely is NOT! Would much rather they found something that could be fixed or even explain the headaches, nausea & dizziness. Oh well, we all have our own problems that can't seem to be resolved, don't we?!

Annie Mom, that's really interesting that you lived in Fairfax, VA for awhile. You wouldn't believe the way it's grown up to be almost a big city now (we live about 30 miles SW of Fairfax)! Hoping you're feeling better and it's not the BP meds causing it since you have to stay on the same ones. Did you get more storms today...hope not! So happy to hear the B12 shot is helping your DIL with her pain! How is son doing and your beautiful grandaughters? Did Jim get his bloodwork results yet...hope all's well.

DarlaMae Mom, guess you're getting pretty well settled in by now and hoping you are better able to sleep and are getting rested up from all the moving. How are you and DadJ feeling these days? Hope you haven't had any more gall bladder problems and that DadJ's back is some better after his procedure. Always holding you close in heart & prayers!

Pearls, glad you're going to be able to fix the part of your fence that blew down but sorry you have to spend the $$ to do so. Have your neighbors stopped tossing stuff over the fence? Sure hope so. Voted for your shelter every day but sad to see it didn't get enough votes. Give Dixie & Burt hugs for us!

Flicka Mom, wishing you and Betty great success with your event for the Dog Park. How did the tree removal go? Bet it was a long, tiring day for you and hoping you're resting up tonight. Love the celestial wall hanging you want for your little house (we have a similar one hanging in our hallway that we've had for so long & love it). That's a fabulous site...to dangerous for Mom to linger on too long tho big laugh

Sarge Mom, so glad you had such a nice time at dinner and the movie for your birthday! How's your leg/ankle coming along? So sorry Abby's tummy hasn't cleared up yet and hope she'll start eating normally soon. Love her pretty new picture surrounded by flowers!). Wonderful story about the UB student who adopted the rescued dog and is working so patiently with him...so sad about his original owner being killed in war. Know Dad T is anxious to hit the links! Hope you get some good rest tonight after all the partying! Hope you vet tech's husband is doing much better now...terrible for such a young man.

Lots of love and paw to sweet Jenna with her beautiful smile (love that picture).

It got really hot here yesterday (a portent of things to come), but today has been much cooler and quite windy. Need rain badly. Bill has been complaining about needing to lose weight lately, so this afternoon Mom called him and talked him into walking Dudley (who never gets walked) with her and Sully. It was so nice to see Dudly enjoying his walk so much & Mom plans to stay on Bill about it for both his (and mostly Dudley's sake).

We didn't know Buddy & Peanut, but they certainly seem to have touched alot of Dogster pals...so sad that he passed suddenly (anyone know what happened?). So glad that River had a chance to meet and play with Buddy & Peanut on their way back. Was glad to hear that River and family got home safely.

Scooter, hope all's well with you and your family!

Had something else to say, but can't remember what it was now (that one remaining brain cell is working part-time these days!)...oh well, this post is long enough as it is!

big hug Love to all & healing wishes to all in need (forgive any misses, please).big hug

Waves to Jenna.....

AnnieMum.. the Boys have live plain tyoghurt daily... try using it daily on Annies food.. not just occasionally. Add a very little honey to the pumpkin....

Please keep a daily log of that med you are taking... if you see a trend... see the dr again .Glad DIL is doing well !

River.. so very sorry about Buddy ......HUGSSSSSSS

S&S... so sorry for the result of the CAT scan.. can totally understand the frustration..... glad at least Ray is doing better.

I am not sure what is making me weep more ......... the 3 ton chip truck up to its axels in the back Outer or the Tom Cat that got stuck in the Dell or the fact the chipper machine is also stuck .They have now gone to get a catapillar truck and I have been working with them all day . They have carved the place up but I made them swear to make it all good. They have been really hard workers but nothing went to plan after the downing the 60 foot tree. THAT went perfectly thankfully

They havent come back with the equipement....and its now twilight. They still have the BIG pile in the Outer back and the kitchen garden pile to do.... and still have to get their wagons and machinery out the pits they dug them into it into yet ........ then empty the chip truck before they start on the piles.

I hurt alot..... going to get cleaned up and take some meds ! Waiting for a phonecall from their boss. They really did work hard and the big tree was done so professionally... then it all started to go yuk shaped !

Sorry if I missed... not thinking straight......

Morning all, S*S glad your CAT scan results were found and it is disappointing when there is no reason - I know what you mean. Can it be excess water retention? Women sometimes do retain more water, and as we mentioned the morning Talk show host we listen to daily, had excess fluid and was causing terrible headaches.

He had a spinal tape - was very clear that it did not hurt, was not scary and did relieve his symtoms and he has had no more headaches.

He mentioned it the other day again, so just a thought maybe to google fluid retention/headaches and see if maybe even Lasik or similar medicine, might help? Certainly not a doctor here but listing things we have heard that may help.

Abby is still a little 'iffy' we are being careful what she eats and she is sleeping alot though, thank you for all the wonderful messages and wishes for her 2nd birthday. She is a good girl and has calmed down, and loves Sarge, licks his face and ears!

Crew, thank you for the sweet little girl picture and wishes. I know it's hard with so many Birthdays, Gotcha days, Bridge Days, to keep track of all.

Annie, how is Annie doing with her intestinal upset? And your blood pressure meds - you said you are staying put on them. Did the rain stop so you can check the backyard? I remember you writing about fatigue and that struck a bell here - I get up in the morning, feeling like I never even went to bed and also in alot of muscle pain. The mattress is a good one, but maybe just old age setting in - no spring chick here at 64 just an old hen.

Next week is the annual physical and I'll go over the blood work with the dr. - some levels - ie. thyroid, blood levels, are way different from the years before. We have a MyChart and all our tests are available on it - back 2003 - and also can make appts. order meds, message the doctor. It's a great thing and sure it frees the office up. They have cut back to a few nurses/staff helping several doctors now.

Hugs to Scooter, know you are enjoying the weather - River, we are just so sorry for your loss. How wonderful you were able to see Buddy on your trip.

Flickamom, wow what an undertaking and that is so nice they felled the tree perfectly - the machinery - sorry that it has rutted up your beautiful yard and will them come and grade it and seed it for you? They do that here, especially as we are on the corner - the snowplows totally dig our corner up every year as there are no curbs on our lot - but they do come back and make it look nice again. The monument will start soon - once all freeze is past and it still isen't totally off the weather scan.

Tonkamom, now is Garrett the trainer's doggy? I am confused (what else is new eek) and you will be taking him to be one of your pack happy danceway to go Sorry that I can't keep things straight lately. How is your back - are you seeing the massage therapist? Did the new groomer come on the job yet?

News from Angels Kubbi and Brandibear mom - they are getting a brother ChowChow for Toffi, who is already 3 years old. She is still riding but not her own horse at the time, as hurt her back.

Just thinking of Buddy, and then we realized there were other friend's we didn't realize were at the bridge as we read the comments - bless them all - since October 2005, we have been blessed to know so many great families, where else does that happen - it is truly something to be cherished

cloud 9

DarlaMae, will you have a Mother's Day celebration with your family? Having them near is so nice - and I didn't realize there were many who are living close to you, how about Daddy's family?

Tom's sister's husband will be 70 on Mother's Day - his sisters (3) and daughters and son are planning a party in an indoor pavillion for him and for Mothers Day as well - basically the Grandmother's. Will be a big 'do' and friends from all over.

Hugs to Jenna, how are things going with all the tips and suggestions? Wishing we could send you this wonderful mattress, but it is sort of bulky. The jugged water is a good thing, nothing to filter through the kidneys. I pretty much only drink water.

Going to the Hospice Volunteer lunch today at a nice place with lovely grounds - a Grove. Have been to weddings there and a shower, was pretty in the Spring.

We have 2 weddings - 2 showers - coming up. Tom's birthday weekend we'll be watching the 3 doggies of Courtney and Tom - 2 Poms and the long hair Chi - and they are so funny! When you have these big dogs and then go there and 3 together wouldn't make a Sarge!

Have a good day - glad that Dorothy is back to work - and also prayers for Cindy's husband. Our vet tech's husband we wrote, had collapsed last week and ended up having the triple bypass. He is a fairly young guy and in good shape, you never know.

Waiting for the tree folk to come......the mess is awful... they will make more just getting the heavy trucks and equipement out.... then they still have to do stuff....They have said they will "make good" but I am not expecting a landscaping job... its a mess... and I am far from happy right now. Have to see what happens today.

Mornin'all,

Busy morning on Buhens!

Abby/SargeMom, Hope Abby's tummy is better. She is such a beautiful girl. Glad to hear she had a nice b'day.Such a nice pic of you with the wreath! Annie seems to be back to normal but didn't get to do poo watch yesterday. She spends a lot of time out in the yard so it's hard to see when she goes. I'll try again today. Yeah, it's too bad that so many meds have side effects. Sometimes I feel like throwing out the whole bunch! silenced Seem to be back to normal, though, and sure a lot of it is due to getting older. I'm 67. I will stay on this BP med for now as it's supposed to have other benefits for the heart, not only lowering BP.

Are you a Hospice volunteer? Enjoy the lunch today. How wonderful for mom & son to enjoy a movie together. I prefer upbeat movies, too. 3 Chi's to make a Sarge...BOL!

FlickaMom, thanks for the tip on honey and yogurt. I eat yogurt everyday, myself. So sorry about the mess in your yard but relieved that the 60 ft tree came down without any problem. Take it easy....I know that will be hard! Remember to take deep breaths!

DarlaMaeMom, hope you got a good night's rest and all ready to see more beautiful butterflies. I luv butterflies and have seen some here, too. I want to start a butterfly garden.

Hi Pearls!

Tonka, what a sad story. frown

River, did you know about Buddy before I p-mailed you? I didn't see you in any of the responses and that's when I thought of letting you know the sad news. Fly free sweet Buddy. I'll miss him.little angel

S&SMom, Glad to hear Ray is doing better. Sorry about your long-time friend. Rehab is probably the best place for him now. Too bad he's not happy about it and I know this must be hard on his wife.

So sorry nothing showed up on the ct scan. Have you had any tests done on balance/inner ear problems? Could you be deficient in some vitamin? I wish you could find some relief. It's amazing how the B12 injection helped my DIL. Who woulda thought!I'm feeling pretty well, considering. No more storms for now. Son is hanging in there and girls are having their Spring Talent Show.

Princess Jenna, stay away from that liver...ew! Glad you got to go to your favorite spot with daddy. Enjoy your day sweetie! big hug

Beautiful day here so about to take Annie for her walk. Luv to see her get so excited and do her happy dance.

Smooches to each and every one
