What a wonderful article, Tonkamom, and will help Jenna to feel good. As I had said, we didn't realize that Rocky was severely anemic and probably was barely existing due to no bloodwork.

From what Flickamom has written, there has been bloodwork done and that is Good - as well as the Vitamen B-12 - if you can get the disolve capsules, all the better.

Also, we have used Jug Spring water for Sarge, Rocky and Abby - it is 99 or 89 cents and sometimes on sale. That is another thing that is pure and could help as one less thing to filter through her system if your water is not the best. Our tap water tastes terrible, so just a thought. Little things can add to make for more comfort for Jenna.

Even a ortho bed - actually a Mattress. We got ours at PetSmart - it is a rectangular mattress, not an oval bed - so Rocky could stretch out on it and not have to curl up if he didn't want to - added a few fleece throws for him. It was in the kitchen, where we spent our time, and he would lay on it and sleep soundly. Just a thought and adds support.

Things that we did that we felt helped - Rocky was older and arthritic so the bed was for that, but any pup would benefit with a good supportive mattress to lay out on.

Flickamom, glad that you are trying new method for your injections and the doctor is working with you = he is a treasure and one of the old time doctors, sounds like, who doesn't just dismiss you. Finished our PT and gave them a thank you card and a Subway gift card - they eat on the run there, no set time but in between patients. Was told about 6 months of care not to turn over on the foot, it is a slow-go with this type of injury.

Rob's body is rejecting the plates in his leg, not sure what will happen and it can be removed. It would be quite a surgery asa the 5 pins are on the bone off the plate, but it might be more comfortable as this won't absorb and go away, evidentally.

S&S hoping your scan went well and some good results.

Paw Park is tomorrow night - Fundraiser - hoping for a good turnout. All Donations and volunteers to keep it running and maintained.

Dear ones, we are all here for each other - - hug the love we have for all our Dogster friends is deep and we feel as if you are our own. To me, the support means the world and cannot imagine going through things without you all.

Mornin'all,

TonkaMom, great article on Lymphoma and should be very helpful for our precious Jenna.

FlickaMom, how did your pebble pool turn out? Hope to see pics on Snows Light! Flying ants....ew! Fingers & paws crossed that the new treatment will give you some relief. Please keep us posted. Darn glasses!

DarlaMaeMom, saw those wildfires on TV...yikes, scary! Hope all has settled down now. Thanks for the link to Jenna's candle.

Hi Scooter!

River, glad you are home.

S&SMom, hang in there. hug

SargeMom, I sent DIL a b'day card & money. She bought a shirt. Courtney must be so tiny. Do you two ever go shopping together or spend the day together? So sorry Rob is rejecting those plates. Jim rejected his stainless steel stitches after his heart bypass. The stitches wouldn't heal and got infected so he had to wait for the sternum to grow back together and then the doc removed the stainless steel stitches. Everything turned out just fine so hoping the same for Rob! Great advice for Jenna. I agree with the supplements and natural approach.

DIL had her procedure and had a bad reaction to it and ended up in ER. She is OK. Won't have results back for a few days. Then last night she slipped and fell hurting her knee. I haven't heard from her this morning but that girl needs a break!

Jenna, sending you bunches of hugs this morning and hope you have a sunshine filled day! big hug

Smooches for all and cherish each and every one kissing

Morning All.......

AbbysargeMum.... about Rob.. the plates and screws often reject.... and they are routinely removed. I had the staples and screws and plates on my legs removed for the same reason. Its more a nuisance that a problem usually. The bone grows strong again and all should be well once they do that. Recoveryis ALOT faster than the initial op.

Hope your Paw Park event goes well !

AnnieMum... have taken a pic and it will be up shortly. The flying ants happen all over the world. They literally all do this (the males and the new queens) altogether to maximise success and to glut the predators ! It lasts only 2-3 hours.. then its as if it never was. You normally dont see it happen till August.. that it is this early is weird.Really isnt a problem.

So sorry DIL reacted to the dye in the procedure. It is an iodine base and many do react to it. Fortunately it does pass fairly fast but scarey at the time.

The wildfires are also down around Jacksonville FL and MinsterJr's dad who has lung cancer was struggling with the smoke and airborne ash. They were safe.... but it was the smoke and ash in the wind.

FINALLY Jay called the tree company I have been asking him to on Monday ... Tree man been today... estimated to do the WHOLE lot... the big old tree at the east end that died in the drought last year and overhangs the house.. the 3 huge brush piles... a couple of small trees and sundry branches ...He has honestly given us a brilliant rate it will swallow the tax refund ... but it isnt a choice.... ... and they are coming Monday. The firm comes with excellent recommendations and skills. It will take a crane... trucks and tractors... but it will mean I should finally be able to manage what we have after that . I will also get my kitchen garden back in use ! I found i have a small grape vine lurking on its fence !

Hugs for all........so much love and support here.

Glad to hear about all the tree removal Flicka. That is big business here!

Hope Rob hears good news about the plate. I agree that getting it out and letting the bone take over may be for the best. Glad to hear your PT is done. Our mama is still doing hers, but it is much better!! Found out today that our physical therapist shops where mama works. His mini schnauzer was diagnosed with Cushings, and after switching food the bloodwork is normal!!

Our potential new groomer did her technical interview yesterday and she did great! She loves and owns a Yorkie- one of our most challenging breeds to groom, so that is a good thing! She also has a Bulldog puppy. You know I will have to post pictures of that guy (or gal)!!

hughughughughug to all!

Morning and Congratulations to our Jenna

snoopyway to gohamster danceblue dog Jenna, Dog of the Day! blue doghamster danceflowersdogsnoopyway to gocheer

love the picture of momAnna and Jenna, you are in our thoughts all the time

DarlaMae, that is a big job, we had a huge tree in the old neighborhood - it was great as there were big trees for swings, climbing and shade. But it was so expensive that we left it. Had thought of putting a little pool in the yard. Ended up going to the community pools.

Flickamom, you have alot to do, and isen't it great that your yard is your refuge. Thinking of the apartment and there was nothing you could do, but you were tending your beautiful rose bush Rob will have to talk to ortho about the removal - it is a long plate, the full bone and 7 screws, I think I see. Another surgery. Will this keep going on all his life, you thing you can move forward and they tell him his heel will probably crumble by 10 years as bone and all the metal will not withstand constant impact. Hopefully they will have options by them.

Tonkamom, so glad the groomer is a keeper! waiting for a picture! I shared your article on our FB Page, good information in it.

Went to mall yesterday for a mattress cover with Tom and by the store like the New Age - but not, was an adorable Bulldog t-shirt with a "sarge" motif, so got it to wear to the Fundraiser tonight! The bulldog is the Marine Corp mascot, which is why Rob wanted him

Annie, we have shopped a few times, formal dresses for her wedding and also the wedding we went to for our niece - and also out to Orchard Park for a day in little shops there, her mother, sister, sil to be, cousin, whose mom passed 2 years ago ( Courtney's mom's sister) that are here. She does marathons, triethalons and will be again in the Ride for Roswell. Gone often as District Mgr. for Silver Sneakers program. Probably like having a daughter, who would rather be with people her own age to shop -

Today is the Paw Park and we are so happy that it will be wonderful success - lots of work goes into this and will be the last year.

Finally talked to my 'uncle' last night -as I hadn't heard from him since Easter and finally called the hospital there - he said been resting alot - is anemic, hoping they give him blood. That's what happened with Tom's dad - gone 5 years yesterday. One of the polyps from colonoscopy showing 'hot' and needs to be removed again.

Frost on the ground and still the birdies are singing - just filled the feeder and put out peanuts - suet.

Mostly .... as Rob knows... the real importance is attitude. Having the pins and plates removed is a good thing.... and he HAS the attitude that he IS going to be fine. If I had listened to the gloom and doom Drs when I was 12.. and 15.. I would be in the wheelchair they predicted by the time I was 21. Rob will always have to fight for his mobility... will always have a degree of pain ot discomfort... but he also knows he can and will have a very good life . It IS attitude that carries you forward. Also.. yes.. there are constant huge advances in all medical procedures. He has alot to look forward to.. alot to bear too... but he will and he will come through it time after time.... because he has "attitude".

Glad you got the Bulldag T Shirt !! Also enjoy The Paw Park Fundraiser ! Ypou have done so much toward the place and now enjoy the fun. !

Glad you got to speak with Uncle...

Giung to try for a quiet day... haha.. we shall see !

Love and Hugsss for all..................

Mornin'all,

CONGRATS to our precious Jenna for being named Dog of the Day! cheer cheer party party
Jenna, you and mom are both so beautiful in your picture! Have a wonderful day celebrating with lots of hugs & kisses! kissing

SargeMom, hug for Rob. Yes, I agree, there will probably need to be surgery to get that plate and screws out of there so he can heal properly. Not good if there is an infection there. After all is done, he will feel a lot better. After Jim had his stainless steel stitches removed there was such relief. How cool about the "Sarge" t-shirt. Bet it's really cute! Enjoy Paw Park!
POP for your uncle going through a tough time. So enjoyable to hear the birdies singing, a definite lift for the spirits.

FlicakMom, at first thought you said you fell when you said "felled"....relievedI know you will be glad to get rid of those trees and that it will enable you to manage what's left better. You must be pretty sore after all your work but I can just imagine how beautiful everything is.

TonkaMom, so glad to hear the PT is helping you. Good news about the new groomer. Hope she works out well.

S&SMom, sending you good vibes. flowers

DarlaMaeMom, hope all is well at your house!

Just saw on Good Morning America, Giant George, a HUGE Great Dane weighing 245. He was pawsome and such a gentle giant!

Smooches for each and every one
