	I hate it when people accuse staffs of being pitt bulls, when they are totally the opposite! For example a few weeks ago we were walking phoenix down the river, and a women called the police saying there was a pitt bull running riot, when the police came they had never heard of a staff before, and didnt believe us that he wasn't a pitt bull.... it makes me so mad!!!! we had to show them proof, and even then they wanted us to buy a muzzle! Does any 1 agree that staffs need to stop getting the blame for things that they are to gentle to do!!!!

	YEAH!! and i hate my gorgeous boys being hated! a woman crossed the road when she saw bozo coming recently....then crossed back over when we were far away!!!!!! staffies are so lovely and gentle..the way ignorant ppl treat them makes my blood boil!!!

	I hate BSL period! Star is a Staffie/Boxer mix & I also have Denali who is a purebred APBT & they are BOTH amazing dogs. Neither one of them would harm anyone & I hate it when people act like that towards my dogs. I, fortunately, live in a pretty tolerant area. Sometimes I think that makes it even worse when I get those few people that come up to my husband & I & try to tell us that our dogs are dangerous. They, of course, wait 'til the dogs are securely in the car. Grrr!!

	My mom never realized how much discrimination there was until I was dumped and she took me in. The reactions from some people really surprised her because I am such a love! She is not sure exactly what I am but she is thinking Staffie, however, she doesn't care either way because she LOVES me!

Summer

Box Slayer- Extrodinairre!!

	Summer is a recent addition to my house. I knew there was a LOT of hatred towards all the bull breeds but it never really hit home until I walked Summer for the first time. We went down the road to the shop where there were a LOT of people, about 90% either moved well back or looked completely terrified. The worst Summer will do is lick you to death. In the end, a simple pop to the shop took 45 minutes as I explained about staffs and how, if trained and loved properly, they are a wonderful breed who wouldn't hurt a fly...... cardboard boxes on the other hand are a whole 'nother thing!

	Well Phoenix I understand your point. Here in Australia - well - actually "Satffys" just alon have a bad rep. I supose being dressed up with a toy gun does not make the little pomerainean next door feel at ease. Or her owner. But well....they just have to cope. My wife is a large bullmastiff, and well.....when she 'strained/ lurched' to check out little "Pomeraniam" the owner was on the phone the next day in a "lound voice" so my owner could hear stating what an aggressive dog she was. Sure, sure - she may have been a little jealous....but she did want to play. But what a stupid neighbour - just cuase she's a 'big dog'. So we hear where you're coming from. Don't let nobody stop the activities you want to do!

	can I ask a dumb question?? How do you know your dog is a staffordshire and not a pit?? Ruby is registered and I have papers somewhere but the breader didnt seam to know what she was talking about when we bought her. We bought her because she was beautiful and not because of her breed.

	Ruby Jo, the breeds are so very similiar that some people DON'T know which breed their dog is.... The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is usually shorter (and rounder ) than the American Pit Bull Terrier. If your dog has a red nose, it is probably not a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, as I am pretty sure Staffies can't have red noses, I will look it up.... Are you asking because you don't know which Ruby Jo is? She looks like a pitty to me.

	It's truely hard to tell, I mean I know a 30 lb pit bull who looks like a staffie. I also know an akc registered staffie who is 45 lbs and looks exactly like a pit bull.

	Although my boys are not Staffie Bulls we are your cousins and understand completely how you feel! Stay strong and the best thing to do is stay positive ,protect your dog and explain to people what you know about our Bully breeds. I had a neighbor that tried to get us thrown out of the neighborhood because of my dogs. One Am. Staff,2 Pitbulls and a Shih Tzu. We walk every day 2 at a time and my boys are very very well behaved,they have been attacked twice by a Great Dane and once by a fox Terrrier but them alone have never provoked or defended themselves when this has happened.The Dane was always loose running the streets and the fox terriers invisable fence failed. My results were a $256 Vet bill for the Dane biting my boys in their heads and needing repaired and the fox terrier left scratches on the them. So I wish you the best and keep protecting our Bullies!
