Asher, we did actually have fun. Marlowe's always been anxious around other dogs, so the show environment is pretty stressful for him, but he did so much better this time than he has in the past. No panting, no drooling, and no *ahem* "lipstick" moments like he's had at other shows. We're both getting much more relaxed, and Marlowe even plopped down on the floor this time with other dogs walking within feet of him. So, I'm not sure how much "fun" he had, but the fact that he's getting more comfortable makes it more likely he'll think it's fun in the future. Baby steps.
Oh, and it was AKC rally. I haven't even seen APDT advertised around here, but I've really only looked at AKC and UKC so far. |  |  | |  |
