So I'm a new mommy of a 3? year old Sibe. She is wonderful, silly, so intelligent(I have to make sure I don't unintentionally train her behaviors I don't want, lol) She's weird as in low prey drive, low energy(to 30 minute walks and she's good), and a very people orientated dog.
She has some dog reactivity which we are working on with a behaviorists. Apparently it's very mild right now and there's a high chance for a good recovery. Yeah! She's even doing well with the cats now. One of them is becoming somewhat of a friend with her. Once again very weird for a husky. Otherwise I think she is a normal, albeit stubborn, talkative, ridiculous acting, nobel pup. She has been able to go to UNM with me 3 days a week so is rarely if ever left alone.
The only thing is her hips seem to hurt her, what are the typical signs of Hip dysplasia?

welcome huskies are wonderful, adult huskies can be a bit lazy.

Be careful of the cats for a long time, just in case, but many huskies are cat friendly. (personally I like to shake cats to death but it was obvious from the first time I met a cat at my forever home.)

Haha she is quite lazy, when I give her enough walks otherwise she explores everything!! I swear she's part hound with how much she has to sniff everything! And thank you for the welcome and the pup pal request, tell me if it didn't go through!
She doesn't know what to think when the cats play! I think a part of her wants to referree.

big laugh Maybe she wants to play with them? The reason you need to be careful is to make sure their antics don't suddenly trigger prey drive. It doesn't sound like you will have a problem at all, but better safe then sorry,

As I said, Fritz was obvious, freezing, staring, licking his lips, and lunging toward any cat he saw. He has gotten better, but I can't trust him around a cat off leash.
Be careful of off leash too, many huskies can't be trusted off leash, there are some exceptions, but don't risk it.

Have a wonderful day.

I've definitely been watching her whole "talk" to the cat and want to play with the cat. My black cat really doesn't care. The my brothers Tabby, Tiger, is still trying to assert his dominance over her by blocking her way mrawing at her (which she thinks is talking back to her, oh boy oh boy I can just hear her think) and occasionally hissing when she's too close, thankfully that always makes her take a couple steps back. I don't know if I'm ever letting the Tabby and her be around each other unsupervised, lol

Amazingly, when my brother and neighbor were watching her she got out of the gate and when my brother got her attention she came trotting over. Thank God! I'm still not going to count on that to be the case always it, I'm so glad she isn't a typical husky and wasn't 30 miles away by the time I got home!
