I've actually heard this a lot from people with Huskies, not usually the wolf mixes but huskies. Their dogs get picked up and such and I think he has to do with the look of a dog. By nature they tend to look more intimidating and proud. Have you seen huskies that walk around and hang there heads? I haven't, unless it was hunting something.
So my take on it is that due to general appearance other dogs can be put off by our dogs. Some feel the need to assert their dominance, maybe?
I think that might be why I hear the ideal friend for a husky is another husky. Though I would say something to the owners for sure, aggressive dogs, even if to one particular dog.
It could also be that he is perhaps a bit too timid, but it's not the first time I've heard of a husky being 'picked' on.
I feel the need to mention this, Cody is soooooo gorgeous. I wish he lived around here so he could play with Sable =)
