You may not blow your coat until this upcoming Spring if your only 10 months. Your pawrents should feel lucky. I came home shedding. BOL! I am actually blowing my coat right now. Mommy just got the FURminator. It works awesome! And, it puts me to sleep. I cannot hold my eyes open while mommy is using that. laugh out loud Mommy once read that we have two shedding seasons. Each one lasts for 6 months. BOL! That explains it well. Good luck and tell your pawrents to get ready for some Sibe style snowing. Mommy likes to call my shedding Sibe snow. BOL!

All I have got to say is FURMINATOR, period. I just bought one and it makes such a difference that it is insane. I used to have a decent undercoat rake that worked all right but wasn't anything amazing. Finally made the leap and bought the Furminator and it is like night and day. I usually brush Lexi once a day (usually at night, just how it happens) and it pretty much keeps the hair to a minimum.

I'm a dog groomer, so I have the pleasure of being the one who has to deal with shedding coats all of the time. My suggestion would be to take your gorgeous husky to a petsmart nearby. Their grooming salon has high powered dryers that blow out all of that undercoat faster and better than any brush. The best part of it is that it's only five dollars for fifteen minutes, and usually fifteen minutes is more than enough time to take care of that coat. If you are looking to keep up on regular maintenance at home, the zoom groom by kong is good, but it usually works better on short haired dogs. Although it is a bit more expensive and amazing "brush" in the furminator. It works great on double coated breeds and definitely helps stop the shedding in between blow outs. I hope this information helps you keep the shedding battle under control. Good Luck! smile
