	We've had Annie now for about three weeks, and she was clipped short when she came, save for her face, which I trimmed up nice and short to match the rest of her. (Except the tail, we've left that nice and long) I'm tempted to let her hair grow out long, but I'm not sure about how difficult it would be to maintain. She's inside most of the time. But I don't really look forward to doing full-body clips and trims every few weeks, either. Just wondering what other Tzu people do

	I keep her short in the summer and longer in the winter. When I keep it short she needs a hair cut every 6 weeks because it grows like crazy!

	I keep my dog short. First we live in Texas and it is warm here. Second, she likes to roll around and when he hair is long it gets matted fast and easy and it is hard to get out.

	Henri's coat is pretty short now b/c it's soo hot, I'll let it get a bit longer in cold weather. I have let it grow out before but probably won't try that agian. I brushed it daily but still couldn't keep him matt free. He is too rambuctious to stay neat and clean.

	hey Annie, I keep Oscar's hair really short on his body during the summer as he gets over heated easily. I plan on having his hair a little longer during the winter months. Good luck!

	Mom keeps my hair short in the summer and lets it grow out a bit in the winter. The maintenance required to keep my hair really long is just too much since I am not really fond of being groomed.

	we were both kept in full coat until a year ago when we discovered some health issues which required ultrasounds and surgeries. During this time mama had our bodies and necks clipped very short~but not shaved and left full length on face, beard, topknot, legs and tail. Very easy to comb out. We don't dry comb~we use a conditioning spray called Quicker Slicker by nature's Specialties and it makes combing out even a tzu in full coat, waaaaaaaaay easier! Regular comb outs are the key. We like the rotating pin combs and use one by Evolution; it's our FAV. Cleaner coats are easier to maintain! Mommie's last tzu was always kept in full coat. it does protect from UV, so don't forget if you're short and outside! Being a smoosh faced breed, we aren't outside too long. Many tzu's kept in full coat opt to shave the tummy, etc on the underside and even the undercoat, keeping the outer coat~still looking long without being as thick/hot!

	I tried to keep it long, but Charlotte gets matted so easy even when I brush her a lot. I keep it about medium-not buzzed but short enough to maintain and to still look cute. I do it myself because I know she can get a little upset about it-she hates the word "haircut"! Also, her eyes water a lot too so keeping that trimmed helps her stay clean.
