Those are funny Keeks!

The "Father Travels" is about "dad" (the cream shiba) searching for his long lost love all throughout Japan. When his wife calls looking for him, he realizes how foolish this was and he apologizes and comes home.

The "WhiteBank" one is about a banking option that students can apply for. The students are mocking the WhiteBank promo that is being offered when the "dad/teacher" realizes that they are making fun of him and the commercials. He scolds the kids and tells them they are watching too much TV. At home, his daughter praises him for being a good teacher.

Hopefully, Maxi and Tam Tam can provide the translations! big grin

I *hate* shiba's in ads. It makes them a fashion thing and because of their cute little faces people will want one. They have *no* clue what handsful they can be and how bossy they become when not treated properly. So more shiba's will end up in dog rescue places (or worse). I really don't want to see this breed fall into the hands of puppymills "because I saw a shiba in an ad and it's so cute, so I want one now". Sorry just my opinion.

Hi Kenji. I think the majority of shibas in ads are from Japanese ads where they are a very popular breed already. There is even a Shi-Ba magazine in Japan that comes out monthly. I think since it is a Japanese breed a lot of people in Japan who see these ads are already at least somewhat knowledgeable about the breed.
As for commercials in general in the US. Yes, I can see where there could be an increase in people wanting shibas due to commercials, but I feel that it is unlikely. Advertising viewing by the public has decreased in the US thanks to TIVO, DVRs, etc. A lot of people aren't watching commercials anymore and that is why we are bombarded with pop up advertising on the internet, and product placement within TV shows and movies (example - the Coke glasses the judges drink out of on American Idol.)
The only US commercial that I can recall with a shiba is the Advantix commercial. Most people in the general public have no idea what a shiba is and probably don't realize that the dog in the Advantix commercial is a shiba. Personally, I see movies or TV shows as a bigger motivator of people wanting such and such breed of dog. (As in the case of people wanting huskies after the Snow Dogs movie came out or Dalmatians after the live action version of 101 Dalmatians.)
I don't feel commercials have such an influence. The primary goal is to increase desire for a product, raise awareness of a product, etc. Just my opinion.

I think the main problem with shibas in ads is that I would probably buy anything they were selling. Shiba on a dog bed? I'll get it! Shiba on a vodka bottle? I'm there! I'm shameless! red face

Father travels

This is the longer and better version(60 sec.).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxnsYZ_oFvc&feature=related
The song you hear on the background.

***At the Sunami Station (Mihara city, Hiroshima prefecture)***

Father(Cream Shiba) is coming out of the small countryside station.

Father: I am sure I will come across Tada-Tomo that I have not seen yet.
("Tada-Tomo" is SoftBank's calling plan which all calls between members of this plan is free. Tada means free, Tomo is the abbreviation of Tomodachi means freind)

Father walks through various countryside locations including Jodo-ji temple (Onomichi city, Hiroshima prefecture)

Father looks down at some senery from the window of the very traditional Japanese Inn, Ryokan as the maid serves a tea.
A pretty woman makes a call from the beach.
Father gets a call and probably he think it is from her.

Mother: Where are you roaming around?

Father: I'm sorry.

Father walks by the Rotenburo(Japanese style outside hot tub, hot spring).
Father comes out of the female section of the hot spring.
(As Japanese usually baths in nude, male and female sections are separated)

Father: I made a mistake.

Malevoice over: Calls between family members are free for 24 hours, SoftBank.

Onomichi city is famous fot its beautiful senery and also the old parents of the great movie called "Tokyo Story" resided.

This is one of the greatest movies ever made!

The song that you hear in the background is

Iihi Tabidachi (Taking off on a fine day)

I look up the sky of the north where snow will melt soon
As I call out for the dreams from the days have passed away
faces of the people who I will never see again come to my mind
So today I will be on the road by myself
Somewhere in Japan, someone special is waiting for me
Taking off on a fine day to look for a red sunset
with the song that I heard on my mother's back as my only one company

On the tip of the cape, a boy is fishing
Will he take the pass with tall green grasses when he goes home
In order to make a memory
I will write "Goodby" on the beach sand with a wood stick
Somewhere in Japan, someone special is waiting for me
Taiking off on a fine day to look for a cloud shaped like a sheep
With the song that my father taught me as my only one company

Somewhere in Japan, someone special is waiting for me
Taiking off on a fine day to look for my happiness
With the song that I sang in my childhood as my only one company

SoftBank play

***At the Class Room***
Boy: "White" student discount?
Girl: Students who join "White" student discount plan do not have to pay any basic fees for three years. And also calls between SoftBank members are free till 9pm.
Boy: That sounds too good to be true.
Other Boy(who wears a cream Shiba mask): Boys be ambitious!, boys be ambitious!
Father(Teacher, Cream Shiba): Hey!
Boys and Girl: Sensei(Teacher).
Father: Stop imitating the TV ad of SoftBank.
Boys and Girl: Okay.
Father: You watch too much Television!
Boys and Girl: I see.
Father: I take this away!

***At the Home of Cream Shiba family***
Aya: You work so hard for them.
Father: Yes, I do.

Male voiceover: "White" student discount, no basic fees for three years.
