I'm digging into our shiba archives and bringing back this thread because I just saw more of the Japanese "Softbank" commercials that feature a very cute cream shiba (as the dad!).

The clips are all on youtube but I watched them posted on the Yoshi and Tsuki shiba blog. Look under the Feb. 1 posting to see the new ones! Too cute!

Also- for our newer Shibas, you should go back and read this thread to see the original strange but super-cute ads (called "The White Family.) Also posted are some very nice english translations provided by two visiting cats, tamtam & maxi.

Hi guys,

Keeks - I had trouble finding the links of the ads on Yoshi's site, but I did locate the Silent Night ad on Youtube.

Ju st for background: In Japan, Christmas has become increasingly popular among the younger Japanese. And, for some reason (that I can't explain) it's celebrated much like Valentine's Day. (No day off, but it's all about romance, fancy dinners, jewelry and evenings spent in expensive hotels!)

So, in this ad, the "dad" (who is the cream Shiba) yells at the daughter and her boyfriend, "That's enough for today!!!!", just as they are about to hug and kiss.

laugh out loud That Tommy Lee Jones commercial has to be hands down the strangest commercial I've ever seen. The shiba is ridiculous! It's a chubby wind-up toy!!
