GO!

Craigslist is depressing me.

This is a special section for dogs needing new homes and for inspiring stories of dogs that have found their furever home through Dogster or through the love and energy of rescuers. This is also the place to discuss shelters, rescue organizations, rescue strategies, issues, solutions, etc. and how we can all help in this critical endeavor. Remember that we are all here for the love of dog! If you are posting about a dog that needs a new home, please put your location in the topic of your thread so those close by can find you! Make sure to check out Dogster's dog adoption center!

I'm fine with large breeds in apartments. The failure of the Dalmation was likely due to lack of walks, attention and training. You can keep any breed in an apartment as long as the exercise requirements are met. It's way more important for the dog to recieve daily mind stimulating exercise than what size your living quarters are. Dogs with the right amount of walks don't need a lot of indoor space.

I can guarantee a big dog would be happier in an apartment with daily walks than any dog with a huge house and no walks.

Yoshi, I got LUKE today! There is another thread in this forum with pics! I think I titled it "It's Welcome Home Day". Thanks so much for asking.

My brother has no desire to own a pet. Partly because at 23 years old, he still lives with mom and dad and partly because he really can't be bothered to take care of one. That's fine by me. You don't want to take care of a pet so you just don't get one. Makes sense to me.

Nicky's rescue is getting in a Christmas present that was dumped after 3 days. Ugh.
