Yesterday at Wendy's someone asked me the name of my cute dog. I responded with his name and went on my merry way. As we walked out my husband asked me why no one ever asks me the name of my cute husband. We had a good laugh.

Not related to SD but something happened that was histarical!

I was at the petstore with Barkley of course, we also had our two new puppies Pippi and Newton. Now most of you know that Barkley is a sheltie, but Pippi and Newton are 9 week old mini doxies. I thought they looked tottally differnt anyway. But someone came up and asked if Barkley was the mom of the two pups!!

It took everything I had to not burst out laughing, and I calmly said, No differnt breeds, besides Barkley is a boy.

THEN ANOTHER person came up and asked the same thing!!! big laughbig laughbig laughbig laugh
I mean, what was with people that day?!?!big laughbig laugh

And here is Newton

And they are not SD canidates, just pets. BUT if one has the potential then they might be trained as my moms hearing SD. But they are pets first.

Saturday Harley and I went to Wal Mart as normal. Only this trip started as anything but (see thread "Why'd he do this?"). Anyway, the first time he stopped and refused to go forward, he was alerting. So, we are out in the parking lot and its hot. He is sitting next to my car and I am knelt down right next to him. I have been told that it looks kind of intense as we maintain eye contact while I am watching him to get his release and he is watching me.

First, my former internist, the one that did the initial paperwork for my accommodation request at work and who first "prescribed" Harley, walks by when Harley first alerted. I know she saw me because we briefly made eye contact. From where she was parked, I highly doubt that missed what was going on. Now, most people wouldn't have a clue what was going on (I'm glad too...don't really want to make a scene) but this was my former doc who knew exactly what was going on. Does she even ask if I'm ok? No. I thought, "Good thing I'm not dying."

Then, just as I started to feel off, this lady comes over and wants to talk about Harley's shoes. Hello?? What?? Yeah, lady! She may not know what was going on, but it was obviously not normal. I couldn't really engage in a conversation right then. Literally, I have diminished blood flow to the brain and I'm lucky if I can communicate with yes or no. So, we then get back in the car and I really went into an episode and went tachycardic.

Once I got Harley across the road and we were entering Wal Mart, this guy says to his friend, "She thinks she's taking her dog in there. Watch! This is gonna be funny! She's gonna get kicked out on her a*@". Then we just went on in like normal. We stopped in talked to the door greeter (who loves Harley) and went on in. The guy just stood their with their jaws open. I have to admit I chuckled to myself.

This stuff is just what we have to put up with in the real world with SD.
Some are comic and are just plain stupid. We are finishing up our 5000 mile trip and really haven't had any problems in Michigan Wiscocsin Illinois, Minn Nevada Utah Arizona. I most comic one was in William Arizona When we were asked Is the Dog a SD Booby nwas dresses in his vest. I replied I hope so . To the waiter . The whole resturant laughed in a roar.
