|Most dog owners claim a very distinct and dramatic change in their pets general heath and well being once they switched to dog raw food diets. Think about it, dogs are carnivores, their wild ancestors ate raw meat and it is more biologically appropriate, even through the dog/human relationship evolution. Before commercial dog food, our ancestors fed their dogs raw meat and table scraps from their meals. Before commercial dog food dogs lived longer lives, unless plagued by a disease. There was no "commercial" dog food until about 70 years ago and yet generations upon generations of dogs have survived beside humans. Hmm makes you think, don't it?
Well, do you believe fresh, whole, unprocessed food is healthier and contributes to your overall heath? It's the same for dogs. If you do, consider switching your dog to a raw food diet. There are many benefits to a dog raw food diets such as:
Shinier coat - You will see a noticeably shinier coat within 2 weeks!
Healthier skin - Same as above, within 2 weeks your dogs coat and skin will look great
Cleaner, whiter teeth along with better breath - A natural diet won't cause the same plaque built up as commercial dog food
Higher energy levels - Dogs on raw food diets can digest their food easier, so energy levels will rise
Smaller stools along with reduced odor - That's what I noticed anyways!
Less concentrated urine due to the moisture in the meat, which means reduced yellow grass stains - Since their diets changed so will the concentration of their urine
Helps with allergies and may reverse pre existing conditions such as a heart condition or hot spots - These get better due to the healthier skin and nutrients in the meat
Lower cost than commercial pet foods - Believe it or not this is true
A dog raw food diet is feeding your domestic dogs, or other animals, raw uncooked meat, and edible ground up bones and organs. Sometimes mixed in are vegetables, grains or supplements. Due to this being a natural diet this can be a great diet for pets with allergies, and may help with hot spots, hair loss and excessive scratching and biting of your dogs coat.
Besides all the benefits for your dog it also greatly benefits you. It's much cheaper to feed your dog raw food diets versus purchasing commercial dog food which just gets your veterinarian richer and makes the dog food company profitable.
