My fiance, who is not very bright at times, put an air freshener in our refrigerator after we had to remove something that had rotted. Now, the food in my fridge all smells like the air freshener. When I opened a ziploc with meat today, the meat smelled like it.

Not sure if I should feed this to the dogs or not. I'm confused because the meat was secure in a ziploc, but the smell still got inside.

It's Renuzit Aroma, Apple and Cinnamon smell. I can't find the ingredients, but from online it looks like the ingredients just say "fragrance oil".

Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated.

I'm gonna say toss it - as well as anything for the humans that smells like air freshener instead of food. frown

Thanks Tucker. Thankfully we just recently cleaned out the fridge, and the only stuff we're gonna have to throw out is some meat, cheese and butter. I think anything in glass or thick plastic containers is safe.

Baking Soda is really good at absorbing odors if you need to use anything at all.
