Ok I've got the results in front of me. BUN is 50.42 mg/dl, Creatinine is ideal at 1.18 mg/dl. His BUM/Creatinine ratio is about 44. Any insight?

Because the results were so skewed by the heavy exercise before the blood draw I would want another test done. My vet says the lab gives a discount on tests done within a shorter period of time.

This time don't feed him that day, not even treats, and no exercise before hand. Maybe Toto will see this and offer more hints on how to get more accurate results.

Maxwell, I agree. Repeat testing with NO exercise, either fasting OR normal diet at normal time. My vet says just being nervous in the waiting room is enough to mess with BUN and creatine levels in many dogs and is not normally anything to worry about, unless other levels are also off.

Toto and Maxwell, thanks for the insight. I guess I didn't think heavy exercise beforehand would skew his results that much. My vet said she doubted it was due to dehydration but if you check out the other 2 elevated values, I read that both of those can be elevated by dehydration too, so it makes sense. Plus, his Creatinine is perfect so I guess I can't be that worried. A re-test under different conditiond is a good idea.
Also, did anyone notice the info under hematology? That had me a little concerned.. I am waiting for a call from my vet to further discuss but until then, I'm confused!
