wow, tank you really favor a pharaoh hound! that's pretty cool.
they are my favorite! i prefer prey model raw, i don't personally
believe the dogs need veggies. it's a personal preference,
and depends on how your dog does on it. veggies can cause upsets
in some dogs. good luck!

Pit head and lap feet - please don't take this negatively! but I had to laugh. I had this image of a dog with a crater in his head and feet as long as someone's lap. laugh out loud I'm not being typo police or anything - it just struck me as a funny image.

The recommendation to start at 2.5-3%: IDK, but wouldn't you start a puppy somewhat higher, like 4% of expected weight, and see how he does? If he starts getting chunky, you can cut back, but a pup's metabolism is so high. It may not be a good comparison, but I fed my kitten all he wanted until he got a little too round at a year old. Pups might be different, but personally I'd try letting him self-regulate and see what happens.

yea it does sound funny. but he does look like someone threw all three breeds into a mixer and out walked tank. He has embarrassed me again in public. but i am going to try soon him on raw. I hope it doesn't hurt his belly and give him the squirts.
