Well Max is enjoying his chicken feet all right. The vendor has ostrich feet sometimes too. Anybody ever tried them? I like big and hard to figure out how to eat. Not sure about the bones.

My dogs refused to touch ostrich and emu feet. They sniffed a lot, but didn't eat. The ostrich bones weren't too dense though, but definately some were nonedible like some parts of the legs and hips.

I would definitely go for it! As much as my pups love chicken feet, they would think that they had died and gone to heaven if I plopped down a giant ostrich foot! They have been known to give me hound dog eyes until I agree to split an entire 1 lb pack of chicken feet with themlaugh out loud Evidently Chicken feet are like potato chip, you can't eat just one.

Be sure and get some pictures if you decide to go for it... or better yet full color video. hamster dance

Thanks for input. I ordered them, they are cheap so not going to be too big a deal if he doesn't like them. Hoping Sassy likes them too, she needs to chew and not eat bone. I may be able to take photos, fascinating though the stillborn lamb was to watch it wasn't something I wanted photos of.

I started feeding raw partly because it is more fun for the dog but a usual bit of this, bit of that meal is tasty and all but not very interesting or long lasting. It sure is fun now I have a freezer so can buy boxes of strange things AND he can handle odd meal sizes. Oh, and he isn't crazy about getting everything offered down the throat. If I thought he would try to plow right through the ostrich bone I wouldn't buy it.
