Well, the point of the thread is usually its title and first post. Anyway, I agree with Kaya's post. I doubt it would be that big of a problem. Commercial raw is primarily a convenience product and IMO its not really that convenient. One has more control when using the prey model framework. One can choose the source of the meat and what kind. It's easier for me to buy meat from a nearby butcher or grocery store than it is to travel across town to the specialty dog store to purchase commercial raw (we have Primal). I mainly use commercial raw when I forget to defrost something else as the patties defrost much quicker than an RMB.

Let alone a lot less expensive buying from the grocers than the premade stuff. It so happens for me, the petstore that sells premade raw is in the same vacinity as my grocers, both of which are across town, but at about $17 for a 2 or 3 pound bag of premade raw medalions (they have primal and NV I don't see Bravo anywhere around here) I would rather buy family packs of meat on sale at the grocers and go from there. The organ meats are cheap, and the family packs, well something is always on sale, I just rotate our foods with the sales! I do pick up the occassional bag of Primal for the same reasons Tikka does, or to add a little bone to an overly meaty meal. ETA: and I don;t bother defrosting it.. the pups get it still frozen. BOL They like it that way.

Lucky!! My pup is such a diva, I just feel lucky I don't have to use a gold trimmed plate with decorative orange slices and parsley snips around her "entree" BOL!!!

Stop all things from China, this happened because of them.
I also wonder like someone said if the major pet food companies are behind this.
Well if they had put our pets interest first instead of the $$$ then maybe the outcome would have been different.
I won't feed my girls packaged dog kibbles, they don't do well one it.

i wonder if by listing cooking instructions these companies would be able bypass these new threats. sounds like a good idea to me.

I agree Stormy... until they get it right, we should not be allowng any imports from China, because that is where all the recalled products came from.
