I'm getting frustrated.

I want a pug! BUT, I can't find a trusted Breeder in North Carolina that isn't $1,000 and has puppies available anytime soon.

Does anyone know of any pug breeders in North Carolina? It doesn't matter where in the state, I'm willing to travel!

Have you considered having a puppy shipped to you? I raise Pugs here in the Midwest and have shipped to Canada, The Bahamas, and Sweden with NO problems. I can't say that shipping is any cheaper than buying local, but the selection may be of higher quality wave

no, I didn't consider it because of the price. It's around $500 or more for the dog then around $200 to get it shipped!

Plus, I like to see where the dog is raised, meet the family it was raised with, see it's parents, etc.

I guess I'm weird. haha.

it may come down to getting one shipping, but i don't know..

Hi! Have you tried a local pug rescue? I would try to google NC pug rescue and see what you come up with. Lots of puggies out there need a good home!

If you are willing to travel, there are pug rescue groups all over that should have puppies. Check with your local shelter and PetFinder.org on a regular basis, sometimes puggies will be brought in.

Keep in mind most pugs that are in rescue are wonderful dogs. It's usually the owner who had an issue, didn't know what they were signing up for or passed away. Here are a couple of links to consider
http://www.pugrescuenc.org/ - look at Silas very handsome and two years old...perfect age. Dewey is Four.

http://www.midatlanticpugrescue.org/ - look atpeanut, punky and miss bella
