You and your family - including the four-legged members - are invited to join Richardson AnimaLuv for the 2nd Annual City Wide Pet Day. There are entertaining activities planned for every member of the family to enjoy! Young citizens can romp in the Activity Corral, where they can visit the Petting Zoo, play in the Bounce House, ride the Kiddie Train and Carousel, play games, crafts and much more! Bring along the teens to watch a special performance by Teenage American Idol, Ian Osborne. Adults will have the opportunity to view vintage cars and the new Hybrid Lexus. And of course, we have many pet-centered activities. Show off your special pet in the Pet Parade, protect your pet's safety at the $15 Microchip Clinic, and participate in the Non-Denominational Blessing of the Pets.
Many local Animal Rescue Groups will be on hand with adoptable pets. There will also be many exciting Animal Sports demonstrations such as flying Frisbee-catching dogs.
City Wide Pet Day is scheduled for Saturday, November 10 from 10 am until 4 pm at Owen's Spring Creek Farm in Richardson. General Admission is $1 per person. Kiddie Corral Admission to the is $5 per child and includes unlimited access to rides and special attractions.
Richardson AnimaLuv, Inc. is a non-profit group benefiting the Richardson Animal Shelter. This group is made up of dedicated volunteers with the mission of providing citizens, families and organizations a way to donate money that will help the City of Richardson's Animal Shelter with special projects outside the funds budgeted for the Animal Shelter by the City of Richardson. Proceeds from last year's event provided funds for veterinary care for the animals in the shelter that were at risk due to illness or sickness.
