Out of curiosity, our pekingese is 17 years old and until today was very active but appears to be on a downward slide which is very sad in our home!

Does anyone know how old the oldest pekingese on record is? She (Dixie) has been an amazing girl. Maybe, she is just more tired seeming today than in the past; we hope so.

Anyway, I hope yours has been and continues to be a Blessing as our Dixie has been!!

Thanks for your information.

God Bless.

You are blessed to have your Peke for 17 yrs. we just lost our 16 yr old Peke last week. She was starting to slow down also but did not look her age. Have your vet do blood work....lethargy can be a sign of renal failure. Unfortunately we thought it was old age creeping up when it was acute renal failure. The vet tried everything to save her but her kidneys were too far gone. She had blood work in Oct & 11 weeks later was gone. Good luck to you.
