Cooper is named after a dog in one of my favorite books, A Walk Across America. Peter Jenkins is the author and he sets out with his dog Cooper to walk across the country. It is a great book about the people he meets along the way and his relationship with his dog.

All of our dogs (except our first) were named by our children. My youngest son named Titus after the comedian Christopher Titus. Valentine got her name because we brought her home on Valentine's Day.

I don't have a dog right now, but here's a list of names I would like to use in the future.

Pomeranian: Roxy
Yorkie: Teddy
Husky: Buddy
Chow Chow: Precious
Rottweiler: Angel
Papillon: Bandit

Don't ask me why. I just randomly came up with these names.

I told someone in the adoption forum to name their foster dog Kaytlin. BOL I just like the name. That's what I wanna name my kid someday.

What's the weirdest dog name you've ever heard? I once met a dog named Paul. How odd is that. Oh and the celebrity Pink named her dog something I will not repeat on dogster, XD.

@Yoshi

Weirdest name I've ever heard? Booby.

I worked at a vet's office and somebody had named their little hound dog Booby. The lady thought she was hi-larious.

Oliver- I just like the name, Ollie's middle name Lambchop is because when I first brought him home, my mom said that he looked like "Lambchop" the puppet, so thats the reason for his middle name.

@ Taichi, thats funny, "Booby" was the nickname for my last dog,Cody the Sheltie. For some strange reason we started calling him "booby" & it just stuck.

Our neighbors were going to name their Wheaten Terrier Hoopster, but ended up naming him Rebound. His middle name is Hoopster now! Buckeye has a name that you don't hear everyday... but Brutus has a rather common name! Buckeye and Rebound are related (half-brothers). Brothers with unique names smile

I am trying to remember if I've ever met a dog with a really, really unusual name. Huh. I know two dogs named Lucy, but they are not spelled that way. One of them, the Poodle, is spelled Luci and the other, the Brittany, is spelled Loo C. Pretty cool!
