	Of course you want to check with your vet about food choices, but in my experience oatmeal is a nice comfort food for sick dogs and cats. It also makes a nice transition food for weaning puppies and kittens. I cook it according to the label but then thin it with beef or chicken broth and/or milk. A special treat is mixing it with a bit of cooked fish or baby food meat and thinning it with water or milk.
