GO!

I bought a meat slicer and a dehydrater, now what?

I have a very hard time finding treats, esp. chicken jerky that are not made in China so I have decided to attempt to make some at home.
Do I need to add anything to the chicken to preserve it or make it taste better for the dogs? I am so clueless.

I just dry as is and always home made treats in the freezer just in case. For human use the meat is heated first and dipped in a very sugary and/or salty sauce so not a good thing for dog treats!

Just dehydrate the meat. You can put some vitamin/minerals on them to make them healthier as well.
