|Hi Angel! Mom just started home cooking for me this week! Boy is it better that kibble! She was a little overwhelmed at how much meat I'm supposed to get. She was told that I should have 10 ounces of meat and two ounces of veggies twice a day. 20 ounces of meat a day sure is a lot. Well, not to me anyway! Do you eat that much meat?
The lady told her I could have sweet potatoes, any squash, any green dark veggies, kale, zuccini, borccoli, and dandellions. She also said to add 2-3 eggs per week. Basically she said any veggies or fruit. Just no onions.
Mom also read in the Whole Dog Journal that we can have apples, banannas, papayas, mangoes, berrries and mellon. Also jack mackerel and sardines once or twice a week. Also salmon, yogurt and cottage cheese.
Boy, I can't wait to try all these things.
Oh and I get calcium, cod liver oil, and digestive enzymes added in. Boy mom has her work cut out for her!
